Friendly staff and everyone was very thorough during the execution of the tests and they ran all the necessary tests to see my eye issue in detail. Dr Turski explained everything in terms that I understood and informed me of all options available in relation to treatment. I was seen at short notice and I did not wait long before I was seen. The place is very clean and effective greeted me with a smile and enthusiasm

You would think that being told "your treatment is to shove 3 needles in your eyeball!" would immediately cause you to run out the door. However, Dr. Leon was so confident and secure in what he was saying and about to do that at no point did I feel scared about what was about to go down. The procedure took less than 3 seconds and it destroyed my eyeball for a few days after but it was necessary. Going back in 3 weeks for a follow up and I'll update.

This was one of the worst medical experiences we've had. We spent almost 4 hours at Florida Retina Institute, yet the doctor spent less than 10 minutes with us. He barely looked at my son, did not explain much, and overall gave the impression that he didn't care. After such a long wait, to be treated like an afterthought was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. We've since moved to another retina specialist, and the difference in care and compassion has been night and day.

Started having lighting and floaters in my right eye. My home ophthalmologist advised me to contact a local retina specialist asap. He had previously done surgery on my other eye for the same problems. After reading reviews I decide to call Florida Retina. I explained my symptoms to Liza. She immediately set me up as a new patient and called local office to get me in same day. Liza was thorough, thoughtful and kind which is exactly what you want during a stressful time! Thank you Liza, you were wonderful. I was examined by Doctor Luis Leon-Alvarado. Doctor Luis examined both eyes and explained what was happening to my problem eye in simple terms. He took time answering all my questions and concerns. Highly recommend seeing Doctor Luis!! The Kissimmee office staff is terrific. It's efficiently run, eye technicians are caring and all questions are answered. The wait time is reasonable and each team member was exceptionable in comfort and care!!

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Yami over the phone. She helped me schedule an appointment. She was lovely, kind and made me feel like I was important, even though I am a new patient. She was very clear with instructions and made sure to have my diagnosis from my optometrist referral to schedule it in a timely manner according to the urgency of the diagnosis. Thank you, Yami! You made my day a little better! Looking forward to my appointment. Before calling this office, I had a horrible experience trying to schedule at another office in Kissimmee - their service was subpar, to say the least.

I have been to a few doctors in my life. I have to say that Florida Retina Institute is one of the finest I've ever been to! Let's start with the staff. They are the nicest! Even with their masks on you can tell they are smiling. They are well trained and really have the mechanics down! They are always pleasant to talk to and have genuine concern for each patient. Dr. Houston has a pleasant demeanor. He explained everything thoroughly about what surgery was involved and what to expect post surgery. Everything about the operation was handled very well! He is a model of what a doctor should be. If you want the very best care in retinal care, don't hesitate to go here!

I've been to a couple of clinics to get retinal care and I have to say I've been impressed with this clinic and particularly with DR. Houston. He is extremely kind, very professional, explains things very clearly and has a delicate touch when it comes to eye injections. Service is excellent and quick. Staff has also been kind. The new office is very nice and clean.
