PATIENTS BEWARE!!! These people have absolutely no value for your time. Typically when you call them, you are the 10th to 15th person in line, so you should be prepared for a 30+ minute wait on hold before you speak to them. When you get there they tell you that typically it is a 3-hour wait beyond your scheduled appointment time before you will actually see a doctor. It seems that this practice only wants to make money as quickly as possible regardless of what inconveniences it may cause their patients. Find another doctor! You will thank me later.

I am finally reading all these reviews. I was sent to them as "emergency" by the doctor at eyeglass world because of the pressure of my eyes. I agree with all of the comments about the front office. The first impression was not good. However, the second time I went, one of the ladies at the front took care of me and I had no problem. Met Dr. Hadri and he was really nice. I understand this is a regular day for all of you, but this is the first time for most of us. They told me I had to have SLT which I had on Wednesday of this week. Actually the surgery was supposed to happen last Wednesday but something happened with my card and I had to cancel. But that day when I got there when the receptionist told the lady that she had another SLT she was very upset and said I do not have another one. I am glad that something happened with my card and I didn't do anything that day. I was not given any instructions or what to expect so I just showed up this Wednesday for my surgery. They said it was going to be painless. It was not. As I was in the waiting room waiting for my turn another lady got up and went to complain that she was waiting for 2 hours. The nurse or the assistant or whoever she was that was with doctor Hadri, came out and told her well we told you have a good day. Acceder that woman you can go home. Again no instructions and no follow-up what to expect next. Hay que mouth and they have not told me I had to wear shades, again the first time I'm doing this type of surgery, so you can imagine the pain when I got out and the sun was at full blast. I see all the canned responses everybody's getting from all the negative reviews and it actually makes me not want to go back for the second eye surgery. I called this morning because I am in pain I have crossed in my eye and all I get is there are two colors ahead of you and by the time that they sent you to someone it goes to voicemail. We have left two voicemails and still waiting for someone to call me back and tell me what to do next. The doctor is amazing however niece is not the only thing we need, we need instructions we need next steps. Thinking of calling back and canceling everything with this company. I gave one star because of the two ladies that took care of me a checking time and the doctor. Everyone else needs a course on customer service. Plus the doctor needs to let people know what to do and what to expect. UPDATE: After waiting for a long period of time, I finally got through and they asked me to come in the same day. This visit felt very different. The staff was nicer, even when my husband shared our frustration with everything that happened. Dr. Hadri came in and let me tell you, he is amazing. He explained everything that was going on and has such a peaceful and caring demeanor. Some doctors might have dismissed what I was feeling, but not him. He made me feel at ease and took his time to explain what to expect next. This time I left the office with answers. Even during my earlier difficult experience, Dr. Hadri and the two front desk staff members who helped me were always kind and professional. From day one, Dr. Hadri has been empathetic and caring, but during this visit he went above and beyond. I can honestly say that I will give this a 4 star.

"Excellent experience with surgeon widdam hadri and his staff. The office is run like a well-oiled machine--hardly any wait times, and every staff member was kind and knowledgeable. The surgery went exactly as described, and my recovery was incredibly fast. My vision is now 20/20, and I couldn't be happier. Five stars for technical skill and patient care!" Great job!!

I had the pleasure of being seen by the wonderful team of Medical Eye Associates. Michelle and Michelle took wonderful care of me making sure my appointment was covered by my insurance. Dr Hadri and his medical team were very kind, professional and took excellent care of me with a very thorough examination of my eye issue. Please understand that when emergency patients come in that Dr Hadri is a trauma surgeon and may have to take care of walk in emergencies. This wonderful team provides A+++ customer service. Thanks, Murph

I would not recommend ANYONE going here. They schedule 30 appointments for the same time and do not have the parking lot to accommodate the mass appointments. They make you wait They screwed around for months and it cost me to lose complete vision in one eye. Calling begging for help so I can see again and constantly being pushed off. All the screwing around left me with no vision at all. I thought Drs were supposed to care about their patients and what their practice entails but They just sat back and let me go blind. It's unbelievable how subhuman I was treated. I did not deserve this . They shouldn't even be in business since they don't care about the people. The receptionists are condescending, rude and unhelpful. Act like you're calling them for a favor instead of needing help. Now I have lifelong blindness that COULD have been prevented if treated in time. Thanks a WHOLE lot for altering my entire life for no reason , sentencing me to a life of blindness

Updated Review (with Response to Clinic's Reply) I appreciate your response, but it does not reflect my actual experience. Dr. Cartwright told me before surgery that he would perform a manual limbal relaxing incision (LRI) instead of implanting a toric lens, assuring me he could extend the incision "if something went wrong." Something did go wrong--my vision was left with residual and irregular astigmatism--but no adjustment was ever made, and no corrective plan was offered. At my post-op appointment, when I tried to explain my symptoms, I was interrupted, called "a difficult patient," and Dr. Cartwright walked out mid-sentence to perform another surgery. To now claim this remark referred only to "inconsistent measurements" is inaccurate. The issue was not inconsistent data--it was the unwillingness to listen to and address clear patient concerns. Your statement about strict cleanliness also does not match what I personally observed: I was taken into the operating room wearing street shoes, and when I asked if that was acceptable, staff told me it was "fine." This is not reassuring for any patient undergoing eye surgery. Your reply reads like a template and sidesteps the facts of my case. My vision remains impaired, and independent evaluations confirmed residual and irregular astigmatism directly resulting from the surgical decision. Patients deserve respect, honesty, and accountability--not deflection. Summary of the original review: I regret choosing Dr. Monty Cartwright at Medical Eye Associates (Kissimmee/Orlando) for cataract surgery on my left eye in June 2025. As a Medicare patient and a Ph.D. in optical engineering with decades of experience in imaging systems, I specifically requested a toric intraocular lens to correct preexisting astigmatism and even offered to pay out-of-pocket. My request was dismissed, and Dr. Cartwright instead performed an LRI. The result was disastrous. Within weeks, I experienced monocular diplopia, blurred and unstable vision, ghosting, and significant light scatter--symptoms I never had before. At my post-op visit, I tried to explain these serious symptoms, but Dr. Cartwright abruptly interrupted me, called me "a difficult patient," and walked out mid-sentence to perform another surgery. This was not only dismissive but profoundly unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concerns, he insisted I had 20/20 vision based on a fleeting eye chart moment, ignoring my repeated reports of double vision and distortion. Several "options" were briefly mentioned, but they were superficial and inadequate. A second opinion from my previous ophthalmologist (who performed flawless surgery on my right eye) and from my optometrist both confirmed residual and irregular astigmatism--problems I did not have before surgery. I now require a rigid gas permeable contact lens and may need LASIK just to restore useful vision in my left eye. The concerns extend beyond judgment. Wait times at this clinic often exceed 2-3 hours, with only 5-10 minutes of rushed doctor interaction. On the day of surgery, I was taken into the operating room wearing street shoes. A nurse told me, "As long as it's not near your eyes, it's fine." That reflects troubling standards for any surgical environment. This experience has left me with impaired vision, thousands in extra costs, and no accountability. I strongly caution anyone considering care at Medical Eye Associates or under Dr. Monty Cartwright. My outcome should never have happened. This review reflects my personal experience and is supported by evaluations from licensed professionals. It is provided in good faith to inform others.

Do not value the patients time or money. Multiple appointments booked for something that is accomplished in one visit elsewhere. Also, each visit is hours long for no reason other than overbooking and inefficiency.
