Shandreka Dillon has been one of the most pleasant people I have encountered in a long time! The whole office is fantastic. Shandreka made me feel comfortable and not afraid, I have anxieties in doctor offices. She explained every step and checked back on me.

I recently had an exceptional experience at my eye doctor's appointment with Eye Specialists of Mid Florida in Lake Wales, FL. From the moment I walked in, the front desk employees were welcoming and comforting, creating a warm atmosphere that set the tone for my visit. However, the highlight of my experience was with two specialists, Juana, and Shandreka, especially Shandreka. She was nothing short of amazing. Shandreka demonstrated a remarkable level of knowledge and intelligence that instantly put me at ease. Her strong communication skills made it easy for me to understand the procedures and what to expect, while her interpersonal skills created a friendly and inviting environment. What impressed me most was her ability to solve problems efficiently and her unwavering positive attitude. She paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was seamless and enjoyable. I genuinely felt like I was receiving the highest quality service throughout my appointment. Overall, my experience exceeded all expectations, and I can't thank Shandreka and the rest of the team enough for their exceptional care. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of eye care--it's truly a place where patients are treated with kindness and professionalism!

I am so immensely grateful to Eye Specialists of Mid Florida. My glasses broke very suddenly yesterday (after 2 years of constant wear and life) and they were able to get me in for an appointment today! I needed a new script. Celena and Dr. Hutton were phenomenal. Very professional and guiding me through the appointment smoothly and kindly. Juana was a wonderful help while picking out my new frames and reassured me I could pick up my glasses at an office closer to my home when they are ready. Thank you so much!

Terrible Practice. Didn't even complete my exam and now I can't use insurance to go elsewhere because they're saying I had an appointment in the past 3 months. Wouldn't return here even if it was life or death.

I say, because this is where the Eye Specialists of Lake Wales office really shines, they make the whole process of ordering and pricing progressives, blue light protection, and transitions immensely more transparent and smooth for the customer than does My Eye Doctor of Winter Haven. Also, this office has always been helpful and responsive when it comes to needing nose pad adjustments. The office in Lake Wales is within 2 miles of my house. However, getting an appointment with this office can take up to a month or more. So, I opted to drive to Sebring, given they could get me in for an exam the next day! Try Sebring if you need to get in for an appt fast and can drive there. And I will say, how glad I am I drove to Sebring. What a beautiful establishment they've built there. Just WOW! And fast service! Was only seated 2 minutes before I was called back. I saw Daniela Fernandez, OD - so thorough, and I will definitely return to see her year over year, from now on. The corporate offices need to invest in the Lake Wales office the way they have the Sebring office. I had something happen in early July at the Lake Wales office that was of concern for me and I want to share for other customers to be aware of so that they know of this misinformation and/or inaccuracy. I had my eye exam in Sebring, yet there were no frames there that I liked within the $150 allowance that Avesis our (vision providor) provides, so I drove to Winter Haven My Eye Dr - which has a HUGE selection of frames - yet found their prices of $550 for frames, progressives, transitions, and blue light protection to be unacceptable, headed back to Eye Specialists of Lake Wales office and looked over their frame options liking no frames under $200 and decided that I'd reuse a very nice pair of frames I had at home for the new lenses for the time being. Upon bringing in the frames that I already owned and asking for my new lenses to be fitted to those frames, I was told that my insurance company expected me to forfeit my alloted $150 allowance for frames because I was having the new lenses placed in my own frames. This sounded unreal to me. Wait! What?! I have since called Avesis and confirmed that my allowance of $150 for frames is indeed still available for me to use within the year, should I find a pair that I'd like to have lenses placed into and of course I'd pay the lense fees thereafter since my insurance has partially paid the current lense fees. I am certain that this is what the young lady said to me at Eye Specialists in Lake Wales because I talked with her about the disappointment of not being able to return at some point in the year to make use of my $150 frame allotment should a reasonably priced pair of frames that I really liked become available, she even left, went to another room to check on my insurance, returned and explained my coverage to me. Not cool. I would also like to see a much wider selection of frames in the $150 range available for women at the Lake Wales location and the Sebring location because I would have purchased right away, on the spot had that been possible. UPDATE March 2025: The Lake Wales office now has an excellent selection of frames in the $150-$200 price range! Yay! Thank you. And their new eye doctor is from this area, too! In fact, I was told that the new eye doctor went to Dundee Ridge Middle Academy. More reasons to frequent this office! Thank YOU.

I had the best experience with Celena. She is so sweet and has the most pleasant demeanor. She was patient and kind throughout my testing. She is a great asset to the office. I look forward to seeing her at my next appointment.

I had my annual eye exam this morning and everyone was so helpful and friendly, as usual. I have been coming here for years and today was my first time seeing Kyle (the optometrists assistant) and Dr Hutton. Kyle was an absolute pleasure . He has a wonderful personality, very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. Dr Hutton was also very pleasant. He is laid back, kind and has a great attention to details. I look forward to seeing them both again for my future eye care. Thank you for the best service.
