Been going to this office and seeing Dr. Pusateri Sr for the past 13 years. Since he retired from the LOL location and seeing Dr Shepos I've now had 3 bad experiences. Most recent is my daughter had a full eye exam in sept 2025 we mention that she was not satisfied with her contacts with drying out. We were told to make another appt for a fitting for a different pair. They scheduled us for January 2026, thinking that's what we were going in for. Well now we needed another full exam even though we just did 4 months ago. Why they scheduled it 4 month later I do not know cause normally when I go I go for a new fitting 2 weeks after my full eye exam but didn't question it cause that is what she suggested. So it was a waist of our time and now doing everything in September. Which I never have had a contact fitting and my eyes dilated in the same appt so I'm sure something will be messed up and I'll get a different story too. I feel like everyone in the office is not on the same page and always getting a different story. They used to be wonderful but sadly not anymore.

Dr Pusateri was good BUT my family member had cataract surgery and everything went fine it wasn't until the follow up is where we experienced problems. It was a staff member who quickly gave my family member an eye exam and prescription and we were sent on our way. The frames and lenses sold at the affiliated store were to expensive for a limited income so we chose to get the prescription filled at Eye Glass world (cudos to them) they filled it but for about two weeks something wasn't right so we returned to eyeglass world and they had made the rx correctly so we return to Dr. Pusateri office and the exam was redone and it was incorrect and the office would not give any kind of compensation for the glasses that were already purchased someplace else even though the fault with their (DrPusateri)office the comment that was received when asked for compensation was that eyes changed vision changes and from the time to the first exam to the second exam was less than 45 days

I have been going here for years. They never bill my insurance correctly. They won't bill both my medical and vision even though I have both coverages. The person in their billing department is completely unhelpful, just says no we don't bill both. They couldn't even find my bill without an exact bill pay code. I will not be going back here ever. If you want to pay hundreds out of pocket even though you have insurance that they won't bill, go for it. I'll be going somewhere else now. Also, Allen Pusateri is in and out so quick and didn't event respond to all the items I have told the technician. Seemed like I was keeping him from getting home for the day.

Unfortunately I didn't even get to meet the Dr as my interaction just trying to make an appointment was so incredibly difficult I decided to take it as a sign and take my (very insured and more than able) family of 6 elsewhere to spend our money and insurance benefits. Based many of the rest of these reviews I shouldn't be surprised at how she acted and likely it seems I dodged a billing nightmare (based on other reviews). I found Dr Pusateri's office on the BCBS website - logged into my account - they are listed as my in network provider options. I called right away and When she answered it sounded like she either stumbled with the phone or maybe was answering from bed. Not sure if she works from home but what I'm saying it- THAT was the vibe I got- it wasn't even clear that I called a Drs office as she didn't answer with a formal greeting At all. I ignore that because it's common for people to work from home more often and it's not my issue. I just need to make some appointments so I start trying to do that but she is a cog in the process. I tell her I got them from my BCBS in network providers... She asks me if it's a PPO or HMO but it doesn't say so on my card as she is insisting I should. Whatever... I ask her can I just give her the member ID and group number. She says no. She doesn't have access to be able to look it up. She seems bothered that it doesn't say what she insists it should. She then asks if this is my medical insurance? I say yes as I told her that already, THAT is how I found them in the first place. She then insists that she also needs my vision plan. She is reluctant to continue to make an appointment as she wants both insurance plans beforehand. Okayyyy so I tell her I will call my husband or better yet I will text him to look it up while we are setting up the appointments. She very reluctantly agrees. It truly felt like I was forcing her to let me make an appointment. Or maybe I was gonna somehow steal services from them by not providing BOTH insurances prior to making an appointment. (Which btw doesn't even happen at any other medical dr- 9.5/10 times I give no insurance information on the phone when making an appointment and I bring my card with me on my first appointment to scan into their system) So ok... She takes information for myself and my kids while I am waiting for my husband to text me back our vision insurance. After she takes all our info she then all of a sudden had the ability to call her manager to have her look up my group number ... She comes back to the phone and says "my manager looked it up and they don't see you under BCBS at all" I told her "my husband is the primary on the insurance" she said "shouldn't it still come up with your name" I said "no I don't think so- every other Dr always asks me for him birthday and name to find the rest of us" she seems to literally not believe me. Lmfao. Like the BCBS card I'm holding that goes to a policy that my husband pays A LOT for is what, forged? A fake? I'm lying about being insured? Or I'm lying about you being in network? I told her I was don't trying to accomplish anything with her as she has been really unhelpful and difficult the entire conversation... She said "ma'am for 22 minutes I have been helping you" so... My initial instinct of her being bothered about spending time doing her job was clearly spot on as she is watching the time closely. Guess what? It IS ridiculous that in 22 minutes I couldn't even make what should be a simple appointment bc your front office is so dreadfully inefficient and clearly unable to properly look up insurance plans. I even offered to upload my card or email. Whatever I could do to help but she was just a speed bump at every single step.

Extremelly poor exam that lasted 3 minutes by the Optometrist . I felt I was rushed and I felt my eyes were NOT examined well.I waited so long to have this yearly exam. So dissappointed!

My husband and I see Dr. Allen Pusateri and my sons see Dr. Thomas Pusateri. I need to visit Dr. Pusateri twice a year for testing with my eyes to prevent illness causing blindness. He is so kind and comforting. Having been from NJ with other eye specialists, Dr. Pusateri is very thorough and performs all of the tests I need. He clearly explains everything and is easy to talk to. The office staff there is just amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Even getting glasses and contacts right at the office in their adjoining optical center is fantastic. A really great doctor and overall office!

Okay. The cataract was great. Very successful. However, I caution everyone that there are a lot of hidden charges. I was led to believe my two surgeries would be around $6000, combined. My actual costs is over $9000. Costs are not quoted accurately. Some costs are not mentioned at all. Money collected beforehand, which I believed was the entire amount, was just a little more than half what I owed in the end. I'm not sure if this was done deliberately, but I feel they were not forthcoming at all. Be very careful!

Dr. Pusateri took excellent care of me after an eye injury. I called them in the morning and he saw me that afternoon (as a new patient!). With my glasses, I had historically had a difficult time getting the right prescription--lots of literal headaches and follow up appointments. I took my business to Dr. Pusateri and his crew. They nailed it on the first try.
