Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health - Optometry

I had two pair made at this facility, one for computer and one for general use including driving with all the bells and whistles. Computer glasses were made excellent no issues. Other glasses they didn't I couldn't drive with it, I had to go back they corrected the lenses however no anti-glare which I paid for, now they want me to pay $80 extra to get premium anti-glare and no guarantee that glare will go away. I have two old pairs one 10 years ago and another 7 years ago, they do not glare at night. This woman at desk was absolutely nightmare to customer service, she told me I have three option 1. pay extra with no guarantee, 2. she can talk to her manager who is not there but at other facility and 3. live with it. I love all three option which does not address the original issue of I PAID FOR ANIT-GLARE so where is it? This was the first and last time I would go here.

Prior to making an appointment I called and verified that FMC took my eye insurance since I have a zero co pay for routine exam. I wear basic reading glasses single vision, not that complicated. During my exam they ask you about health issues so I mentioned my migraines, now this becomes a medical appointment and when I checked out I was asked to pay my 75 dollar co pay for my primary medical insurance because of my underlying issue and because the front desk was giving me a list of neurologists at FMC. Exact same thing with my spouse ...high blood pressure...it's now being billed to medical. This is a total bait and switch , I come in for a routine exam for reading glasses no less and they are trying to bill my medical insurance and make me pay 75 dollars when my eye coverage has FMC in network and my co pay is zero. This is a shady practice and I will never go there again nor recommend. Makes me wonder how many people they do this to. I pushed back and was finally told they would just bill my eye insurance . Imagine how many times they do this to people who don't do their research before coming in. And lastly they have limited frames that are extremely overpriced ...I'm going back to Target it shouldn't be this much of a hassle.

I called and gave them my insurance information and they made an appointment telling me they were in network. I took off from work, spent 20 minutes trying to find parking and then the right building. I waited several weeks for an appointment only to get there to find out "o we don't take this insurance" and then they determined "we have 1 doctor that takes this insurance but she's only here on Wednesdays." I said "so you are telling me I just wasted all that time and my day today" and the response was "I'm trying not to tell you that but yeah". They wanted to reschedule me for the next time she was in. No thanks! I've never gone to an office where only 1 doctor takes that insurance. They need to be more thorough and not waste people's time. Clearly, they just want to get people in the door.

It's so nice to find a doctor's office that cares about its patients and it was great to see our child being taken care of correctly with ease and jokes and making it fun.

A wonderful place who is there to help and assist. The doctors are really nice and really great with kids.

Since Orlando Heath is the name now,so many issues with unqualified techs doing the pre exam before the Dr.comes in,in which my case was Dr.Shepos and she is not interested in spending ANY time with you. How can a tech not even know how to use the machine for a basic eye exam,pitifull! Front desk girl so rude! Charged me $400 months after my eye exam even before I went in to verify my insurance covered my visit. I've been going there for years but will NOT return. Sad part is the optimology dept that helps you with frames is excellent!
