Dr. David B Auerbach, DO

Possibly one of the worst physician visits I have had. Waited months for the appointment, waited an hour in the office past appointment time. Dr Auerbach's initial words were "Why are you here". Incredible - he did not read the referral script? He seemed bothered or annoyed. I was there for ocular migraines - which can include headaches but not necessarily. He rushed through the appointment. He stated a should have seen a neurologist first. He ended the appointment by lecturing on what foods to avoid to prevent migraines. Really, this coming from an Ophthalmologist who supposedly specializes in neurology as well. I don't get migraines.

I underwent cataract surgery with Dr. Auerbach at Eye Physicians of Central Florida. The first procedure, performed on my left eye on March 7, 2023, had excellent results. However, when Dr. Auerbach performed cataract surgery on my right eye on March 24, 2023, the outcome was extremely disappointing. I developed a wrinkled retina, which has resulted in persistent blurry vision and a visible distortion in my right eye. When I returned to Dr. Auerbach for follow-up, he offered little explanation and simply stated that the issue would heal on its own, which it did not. I was later referred to a retinal specialist, who confirmed the retinal wrinkling and recommended corrective surgery. However, the specialist also explained that the procedure carries significant risks, including potential blindness. Based on my experience and the complications I suffered, I cannot recommend Dr. Auerbach for cataract surgery.

Absolutely crazy... I'm flabbergasted. I waited 3 months for an appointment for my thyroid eye disease only to have Auerbach's office cancel the week before the appointment and then told me the next available appointment is another 3 months away And the cherry on top is they don't have a cancellation list to put you on, you'd have to call in everyday to ask if there were any cancellations. Edit: I read the office's pathetic response to my review. The office should have a cancellation list because the OFFICE cancelled the patient's appointment not the other way around.

I am so blessed to have found Dr. Auerbach to do my cataract surgery, and now my vision is 20 20! He is a very gifted surgeon! The staff is very helpful, also, but Ivette went above and beyond--I have to give her a huge shout out! I highly recommend this office!

I Love Dr. AUERBACH!! He is thorough, kind, caring and friendly. I have referred several people, including my adult children. I feel very confident after my eye exam. I rate him 5 stars. The staff is great too!! I would highly recommend.

Dr. Auerbach, RJ, and the nurses in the surgery center are professional and outstanding. I'm so happy to be a patient at E.P. of Central Florida. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love Dr. Auerbach!!! I have been going to him since 2001 and never been let down by him. He is so caring and so polite and just genuine. Yes, he is busy, but when you ask a question, he will always take the time to answer and he has never made me feel rushed. You will NOT find a better ophthalmologist in Orlando. Oh, he also has the nicest, friendliest people working for him!!!!

Always a great experience at Eye Physicians of Central Florida. Dr. Auerbach may seemed rushed because he actually is. Whenever I go, there are many other patients. That is a good sign because you can get into an appointment fairly quick. If you want the best doc, check them out!
