I made an appointment for a free screening and consultation to see if I am a candidate for Lasik surgery. Not only was scheduling easy, I was able to get in immediately. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and professional. What impressed me the most was when the surgeon came in to discuss my options. My eyes weren't bad enough at the moment to attempt correcting them. Gave me some great advice and suggested that I come back in about four years to see if my eyes have changed. He could have easily recommended eye surgery and made money off of me but instead turned me away for now. Because of their honesty and professionalism, there is no doubt that this is the ONLY place I will allow to operate on my eyes if and when the time comes. Thank you to the entire Hunter Vision team!!

Beyond AMAZING experience!! Never thought I'd say that about SURGERY, but Dr. Hunter and his staff are the BEST. I went in for a LASIK consultation, not really even thinking I'd get it done, but I had surgery the next day and in less than 24 hours was confirmed to have 20/15 vision. The process always sounded scary to me, but Dr. Hunter really knows his stuff and made the process simple and easy. He really cares about people and has an amazing ability to put you at ease during the whole process. They explain all the finances to you, with absolutely no pressure and they have great options that make it affordable. No more glasses or contacts here! Best decision ever! Thank you Hunter Vision!

I had the best experience at Hunter Vision. All of the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. They took the time to answer all of my questions and were extremely thorough. Dr. Joel Hunter was outstanding. I was pretty nervous going into the procedure. He talked to me through the procedure and even sang to me to help my nerves. I wish all doctors were that caring. This was an outstanding experience, and I would do it all over again.

If you are thinking about having LASIK done with Dr. Hunter at Hunter Vision I wouldn't think twice about it. I did what most people probably do and read the reviews online. They're amazing, almost unbelievable because his clients give him the highest remarks. I have looked at the reviews for most of the ophthalmologist in the state of Florida and no one is as praised as Dr. Hunter. It gave me the confidence to go in for a consultation and at that time I realized what everyone is talking about. The staff is extremely friendly, seem highly educated, and you feel like they genuinely care about you and your eyes and I know from this experience that they are a direct reflection of Dr. Hunter. My father and brother had LASIK done 12 years ago and had success with it but todays technology and Dr. Hunters experience and knowledge make this one of the best places to have this procedure done. I wanted to take the time and write this review because I know for me reading peoples testimonials put my mind at ease. From the consultation to the surgery you are well informed of everything you will ever need to know. I have one of the worst stigmatism's you can have and was one pair away from glasses permanently. Less than 24 hours after the procedure I went in for my follow-up and should have been reading 25/20 but was already reading 20/20 but more surprisingly 20/15! I never saw this well with contacts ha. Also, I experienced no pain or discomfort during and after the procedure, nothing besides dryness which eye drops took care of. I am grateful to be able to see with my own eyes and you will be too.

Went here for SBK Lasik. Had some miscommunication with the staff for scheduling and getting a hold of someone, but they are very friendly aside from that. Doctor Hunter is amazing. He made me feel incredibly comfortable during the procedure, I was nervous but he put me at ease and walked me though each step. He has great jokes that distract you. Procedure was fast, about 15 minutes. I don't think I would have felt as comfortable with any other doctor. In the end the doctor is the one who is during the procedure, regardless of what issues you may have with the staff, and he was great. I had a ton of questions, and he answered all in great detail and was completely honest and transparent. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Clean, professional, warm, and genuine! After three visits, I left Hunter Vision telling my family that I'd never had a more pleasant medical experience. From the consultation, to the actual LASIK procedure and follow up appointment, I was greeted and treated with warmth and felt considered with high regard as I asked a multitude of questions and collaboratively made plans that were customized and suitable to me and my lifestyle. Throughout the initial consultation, I felt confident about the ophthalmology team due to their diligence, attention to detail, and willingness to be transparent about every aspect of the procedure, billing process, and my misconceptions about corrective eye surgery. I absolutely LOVED having three professionals in the room during the consultation, as I felt I was given the time and attention I was seeking while making a pretty impactful medical decision. Brian and the billing team were flexible and considerate with the intentional language they used regarding my payment process from the beginning. The optical assistants were bright, cheerful, informative, and may I say spot on? They knew what they were doing while giving all information and administering tests, and I was impressed by their ability provide me with information that never conflicted with anything the two different surgeons told me over the course of my time with Hunter Vision. Dr. McCurry was informative and extremely precise with his instructions and his craft. While I was undergoing treatment, he was beyond professional and helpful in soothing me of my nerves and took every precaution to ensure everything was perfect. I appreciated his no nonsense, yet peaceful demeanor, and felt confident in his ability to provide a perfect outcome. But hey, most importantly, the procedure went really well, and the outcome was great!!!! After the first day of healing, I could see clearly for the first time in my life!! This life altering experience was totally worth every cent, and I felt 100% secure in putting my vision and optical health in the hands of the Hunter team. Thanks guys! Looking forward to my follow up in 6 months.

I will say that this was one of best medical procedures/experiences I have ever had. When I first walked into the office I was impressed with how well the decor was put together and how clean it was. The office ambiance really made a good first impression. I also remember seeing patients that already had the surgery waiting for their follow up visit in the waiting room and how happy they were. The Hunter Vision staff are so professional. They are super friendly, attentive and informative. They work great as a team. They return phone calls and emails promptly. Like most people i felt a little apprehensive getting LASIK. However, two factors helped me make the decision to say yes. First, Dr. Hunters experience, knowledge honesty and confidence. He had answers to all my questions and did not pressure me in to having the surgery. When first I got there for my surgery appointment, I started to change my mind. Dr. Hunter looked at me and said i want you to feel comfortable doing this. I want this to be an enjoyable experience for you. If you do not feel comfortable you can change your mind. That personal interest gave me the confidence to do it. That made me feel he has my best interest in mind. The second factor was how FAST the procedure was. Maybe 8 minutes if that. I thought to myself 8 minutes and 20/20 vision after? I said a prayer and I went for it! I wish I did it sooner. No more foggy glasses, no more rain drops on eye glasses. I just had my 3D LASIK done yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the results! My vision was terrible and now, only 1 day post-surgery, I can see 20/20. It is amazing! Dr. Hunter is truly gifted at what he does. He and his staff take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and cared for before, during and after surgery. I highly recommend Hunter Vision. You will be hard pressed to find another office that is as welcoming and friendly and REALLY good at what they do as Hunter Vision is. I am already so excited for my husband to go to Hunter Vision for a consultation!
