The staff, especially Taylor, are exemplary. Kind, knowledgeable and just overall a joy. The Doctors, you can't say enough good things about them, especially Dr. Bartells, he treats everyone amazingly, tells it like it is, which I prefer, and is just good company even when he's working. Everyone should definitely choose one of his facilities to go to, especially Big Lake.

I was very pleased with Dr.Parramore. She was very thorough and super personable. The staff was very friendly.The 2 gals went above and beyond to help my husband pick out the right frames to suit him. We are snowbirds and we will continue to get our eye exams here as long as we can.

As a person totally new to the world of glasses (ain't old age fabtastic) I totally enjoyed 97% of the experience. Everyone was amazingly friendly. The Doc was wicked cool The Shop is spotless & professional. The 3% I didn't enjoy was the Having to buy glasses part. Even though the sales lady was also awesome, I cldnt help feel as if I was on a used car lot. I had to excuse myself to do some research. And I'm glad I did. Rather than paying $700 for the only pair I really liked, I later bought 3 pair for $370 & I'll probably return 1 of em. Not really sure what can be done to enhance that part of the experience, but that's what happened so there it is!

I recently visited the doctor here and after a lengthy discussion about my vision he recommended not changing anything with my prescription. Once I picked out some new frames the lady helping me said they were leaving one eyes prescription alone and changing the other. I quickly said that is definitely not what the doctor recommended during the exam. She said she would make sure and discuss it with the doctor before finalizing the order. Once the glasses arrived the second I tried them on my vision was completely blurry out of one eye and I called it out immediately and said there is something wrong with them. I was told I need to get used to them and that they are fine. I only had them on for three minutes and it made me feel nauseous with how I was able to see and how blurry one eye was. They offered me no resolution and told me I was stuck with them because the doctor is on a two week vacation. So I asked for a refund and they denied me a refund as well. So now I'm stuck with a pair of glasses that I can not wear That cost me over $800. This place has the absolute worst customer service around. I would recommend finding a different doctor this place is definitely not worth the price and they don't stand behind there products.

Very welcoming with kind and professional staff. Everyone was detailed with breakdown of the billing, explanations of the exam, to fitting me with the best glasses possible for me and my budget. I will highly recommend them.

She took the time to thoroughly explain our insurance policy, co-pays, and allowances, and also informed us about the available repair services. Her help in selecting frames was greatly appreciated! Dr. Bartels is a great eye doctor--thorough, patient, and very professional. He explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. Excellent care and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I travel to get there because it's worth it when you find someone who truly cares about your eyes and doesn't mess up your prescription. In my opinion Big Lake Eye is the best place to go to!!!
