Confirmed my kids appointment with me about 3 separate times for last Friday. I show up about 10 minutes early. There is about 4 workers chatting it up at the front desk. I stand there and they just look at us. I say hello we have an appointment and they tell me that they reached out to me to reschedule. But I didn't receive anything? Front desk says they TEXTED and CALLED, and even left a voice mail message on Jan 14th. I pulled up my phone thinking I might have missed it??? But NOPE. They had confirmed this exact appointment on the Jan 16th??? She insists that they reached out, (lie) and that there isn't anyone to do the eye exam. So I'm annoyed my kid had to miss school and I missed work for this confirmed appointment but I say I understand & that I'd like a note for school, the front desk girl says they can't give me anything bc they didn't actually see my kid but that she'll ask. Eventually give me the note. And reschedule me for Monday.
Tuesday comes along and they call my husband telling him they have to reschedule bc the doctor can't make it?? He asks if they can reschedule for Wednesday they say that the doctor only comes in on Tuesdays.
Then why the hell would they give us an appointment for Friday to begin with????? Oh my god lol
My husband says they better call mom bc she made the kid miss school again.
They call me and tell me they have to reschedule I say again???? They say yes. And if I want to go somewhere else I "totally should".... I'm pissseddddd I ask why they have to reschedule?? And they hesitate and say the doctors sick, she had a "family issue" that she's "disabled". That when would I like to reschedule? At this point I'm sick of it and tell them you know what we will go somewhere else. Yall have a good one!
Soooo idk how they have so many "good" reviews but this long review is for the mamas to be aware
At least they were polite, sorta lol.

I wish I could give zero Stars.
Numbers completely change depending on whether or not you bring your own frames. Even if you bring your own frames they still charge you $25 as an inconvenience fee.... why? They tell you that if you spend the money they want you to spend with them they will give you a discount on the exam but you have to spent a minimum of $88 and only charge you $40 for the exam it but in the same breath tell you that the doctor is independent and $79 is the cost of the exam if you don't spend a minimum of $88? That's kind of strange...
I have Ray-Ban meta frames that I wanted to put my prescription lenses in, I do not need to wear glasses full time it's only for certain situations so why not two birds one stone and put my $400 Ray-Ban frames to better use. Not exactly sure how someone can bring their own Ray-Ban frames in and spend more money on putting only lenses in than it is to get lenses and cheap frames from 20/20. Less materials More Money... More materials less money? Would have cost over $169 to put only lenses in my already owned Ray-Ban meta frames versus getting the 20/20 frames AND lenses from them for $139? That math doesn't math!
I get it, I work in the car business and it sucks when somebody brings their own outside financing because we do make money off of that contrary to what most car business people want you to think but we definitely wouldn't turn business away or let business walk away if they wanted to bring their outside financing. We definitely wouldn't charge them more for the inconvenience of them bringing their outside financing? It's more important to gain the customer keep the customer and sell to the customer forever versus trying to clobber somebody one time. They probably don't make anything off of lenses which is why they were willing to let me pay full price for the exam and walk out the door without spending a dollar more with them. They also probably don't ever have customers question them which is why they got pretty defensive when I did because the numbers just didn't make sense and it seemed very unprofessional that they were handwriting everything down and had privacy screens on their computer so that I couldn't see the numbers that they were typing about my particular prescription and purchase.
I will not be back! I paid the $79 exam fee only and took my prescription and will happily spend more money than what even 20/20 was willing to offer me just for the simple lack of transparency and feeling like you're getting put together or ripped off. I have never been made feel so dirty about a situation in a sales experience in my entire life. I have been in sales for well over two decades. It's not even professional quote, they hand write everything down like a 1992 car sales Foursquare on a piece of paper.
People were friendly and the experience was great up until the very end when they try to bamboozle you. Absolutely horrible experience at the end so do yourself a favor and do more research than what I did (I was a repeat customer so I thought I could trust them) find yourself somewhere else to go. If you go to 20/20 you paid too much.
I setup an appointment online, quick and easy. Came in at 9:15 am, everybody was happy and greeted me! Everything went as should, staff was very nice and professional. They were able to use my insurance and I was able to get more than I expected.
Thanks,
Bob.

Been going here for several years for full exam, eyeglasses & sunglasses. The last visit, I ordered two pairs. In a month: The screws & screw caps on the glasses came apart (I've been wearing glasses for 23 years and know to be careful), and they put another (not matching) screw to fix it. Excellent. However, it happened again two months later. When I went in to have it corrected they told me to be more careful, and that's just how these frames are & it was going to keep happening?! I paid the "warranty" fee to replace the frames assuming maybe it was just a defective frame, and the same problem persisted. The staff was kind, and they always have been nice to work with. However, telling me that's "just how the frames are," indicating that I should just expect them to keep falling apart, is bizarre. That experience plus the same thing happened to my husband on his glasses, plus the lack of attentiveness has shown us it's time to move on.
UPDATE: I went to another eye doctor (local doctor not one over zoom like at this place), and he showed me that I didn't even have the correct prescription. Subtle change made a huge difference.
I have been a customer here for several years, but my recent experience has been very concerning.
After going to Visionworks in Sanford for an eye exam, I learned that this office had been overcorrecting my prescription for distance, despite my astigmatism. By a WHOLE. DIOPTER.
My prescription was off by 1 WHOLE diopter, which is significant given my already high prescription (-7 / -8)!
I was also informed that the eye exam I received here was incomplete, I was told I showed "early signs" of retinal detachment at this office, but a full exam at another revealed a separate, harmless issue instead...
For years, I experienced severe headaches, migraines, double vision, haze, nausea, and difficulty focusing on screens, paper, or anything somewhat far (with small text...especially!) while wearing these glasses. Including my previous pair from here.
As someone who is chronically ill and disabled, this has had a serious impact on my quality of life!
Not to mention, despite the lazy exam I was given here... I still had to self pay at the other vision office.
I know nothing will or can be done... Especially since it impacted my physical health... as it always goes. Anything for money. even if that means screwing over a disabled person.
But I hope it helps anyone reading this.
This store always makes me feel welcomed! I had the pleasure of meeting with Makhaela and she helped pick out my glasses. She was very honest and kind. She made the experience better than I expected. Overall, the workers at this store are always friendly and polite!
Best place to get your eyeglasses come in and see Tatiana. She hooked me up every time and I get multiple pairs from her and she fix all my eyeglass needs.
I highly recommend this location based on their customer service how they make their customers feel. I've been to other stores and this store is very welcoming. Go see Valarie....very helpful and on point.
