Eye Center of Orange Park

My whole family wears glasses and/or contact lenses, I would not take them anywhere else! The doctor we see is wonderful, he never rushes. It feels as if you are his only patient. Appointments tend to run a little long because he is so considerate and thorough. It is absolutely worth the wait to receive such excellent care - it is your eyes after all. The staff has always been helpful and I usually have a million questions. They even helped me with our insurance benefits when our the plan changed. I tell everyone I know how much we love Dr. Hoffman and that this is the only place to go for good eye care!

This office was amazing, quick, and efficient. The tech Josh was so thorough with every step and machine that he used. All of the front desk staff were quick and patient with me as a new patient using my insurance for the first time. Emma helped me pick out the perfect pair of glasses and explained my benefit coverage perfectly. Dr Hoffman explained my vision to me and used terms that were easily understood. They also have some amazing up to date technology that was pretty cool to look at the inside of my eye!

My young daughter managed to get a piece of something stuck in her eye, and we couldn't seem to get it out. We called and Dr. Jacob Hodges got us in within an hour of reaching out. He was able to skillfully get the piece of debris, which was stuck in her eyelid and rubbing against her eye every time she opened or closed it. Getting a five year old to sit still and have something taken out of their eye is no easy task, but he made her feel comfortable and got it out quickly. We appreciated it so much, my husband scheduled his eye exam there and ordered his glasses as well. We can't wait for them to come in. They had a nice variety of frames to choose from, and we paid the same amount as we would have anywhere else with our insurance benefits. Highly recommend them for any eye appointments!

After my daughters glasses died on Splash Mountain, she needed new glasses. We walked in, Rx in hand, and we're helped immediately. Our glasses were expected to arrive in 2-3 weeks and on day 14, we received a call that they were ready! We again, walked right in and we're helped immediately! Sandy, Will, and Marni were so friendly and helpful! I highly recommend this location and will indeed return.

I have been coming to see Dr. Hoffman for many years. He is an awesome doctor and a gentleman. However, this review is for one of the staff members there that goes above and beyond her general duties, Jennifer. In my opinion Jennifer is by far the most experienced person on the floor in the Park Avenue office. She is very thorough and professional and goes above and beyond what most there normally do to make sure I get not only a good looking pair of glasses, but the correct prescription and best value for my money. Thank you Jennifer for all of your help and keep up the great work. Make sure Dr. Hoffman gives you the raise you deserve.

Worst place to get glasses for your children in my opinion. Both of my boys needed their glasses. My husband took them in. They listed my sons last name wrong. So when I called ten days later to check a status they said that they were not ready but it appears the last name was wrong. So I spoke with the lady got it all resolved and she said "Perfect, the insurance should be verified now that his last name is correct" assuming she made sure that his name was corrected. 10 days MORE (now at 20 days) I call to check a status and they still could not find him. I ask her to look under the wrong name that they previously had him listed as and sure enough it is there, his glasses were never ordered because the last lady I spoke with failed to change his name or do what she ensured me that she had done. I am currently waiting on them to call me to "resolve" this issue. My husband stated that while he was there trying to order the glasses the woman who was helping him was more worried about gossiping and socializing with other workers than helping him. It is a shame that people are paid to do jobs, but fail to actually work and help the patients visiting. I give them ZERO stars and will never return to this establishment. UPDATE : 4.30.2018 - I FINALLY get my sons glasses. Again when I go to pick them up, they still had not updated my sons information. Not only was his name wrong, but his birthday was wrong so they couldn't find him again. There were a group of girls in the office just chattering away - so rude to just disregard me and not even look in the direction that they are pointing me at. I get to the counter and the man proceeds to tell me after I ask "Are these scratch resistant" which is what I am supposed to be paying for. He tells me "No, they're actually easier to scratch, they're just lighter weight".... I told him my husband specified to have them "scratch resistant" because it is for a five year old and an eleven year old. But at this point I'd been waiting a month and a half for my children glasses. He tells me to go check out and I'm standing there for ten minutes while everyone is looking at me, preparing to go to lunch, locking their doors, conversating with each other while I'm standing there. She finally realizes I'm waiting and says "oh I don't see when he hands me papers so I just forgot"... Seems like a very common thing that goes on in this office. Since my first review the manager called me stating she didn't want to lose my business, but especially after my pick up I will never return to this place. They need to hire more efficient, more mature and talented individuals who are more concerned with the patient than the gossip of the day. I have never been more upset with a company. And I feel ripped off of the money they made me spend for my children's glasses. I left with nothing of what I wanted.

I have been coming here for a few years but I guess their service is going down. Scheduled appointments for my children and I over 3 days. The first appointment for my youngest went fine. The next was for my older two. They were supposed to be back to back so that I could be there for both. They had some scheduling issue or they wanted to hurry and close so they split them up. That means I had to walk back and forth between two rooms to know what was going on. The appointment I had for myself had to be rescheduled because they processed the insurance wrong so my daughter's appointment was processed under my name. Therefore, I had to wait 3 weeks to be rescheduled. So I come in to my appointment today and was told that since their receptionist was on the phone to wait in the lobby. When she calls my name she informs me that I have to be rescheduled because I was late for my appointment. I said no, I've been waiting to be called. She says she doesn't know. I say fine when can I come back. She gives me a date 3 weeks from now. I am praying that I have another option in network because I never want to come back here again. If I were you, I'd stay away!!

Today was my first visit and I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of my experience. The staff was friendly and maintained a professional attitude from the moment I walked in. The Dr. was knowledgeable and understood my concerns. He made me feel comfortable and left me feeling like a priority, not just a patient. I am so thankful that I now have a vision center that is the complete package deal. A courteous and educated staff and the peace of mind knowing that my sight is being well taken care of.
