Advanced Eye Care: Hasty Ben R MD

Dr. Hasty is now retired, as I post this review, but it is deserving! He was pleasant, and his knowledge and compassion was impressive and needed. He did not rush in and out of the office visits. He made sure there was a complete understanding of what was going on and how to move forward. Dr. Hasty is missed immensely. God bless him with many healthy and happy years in retirement!

Dr. Brian Planchard is doing a great job for my father, however you have to wait over 1/2 hr to be called for said appointment. Now I acknowledge that things happen to get behind but this happens every time we're here. If we were 5 minutes late for said appointment we would have to cancel & pay for said appointment this unacceptable.

Hasty vanished after a year long vacation. If you inquire about details of Dr. Planchard 's previous ratings you will be shunned. Scolded for even asking & appointment canceled. I at least suggested to the lady on the phone Bay County has GOT to do better with our healthcare providers and the quality of care they provide. The only 5 star preview he received was from his brother.

Directed by friends that Dr Hasty was the only one truly qualified to take care of my cataracts in both eyes. He performed the surgery on both eyes ...not at the same time...about a month apart. He performed it effortlessly and flawlessly. No pain and able to have full vision restored in both eyes within 48 hours after procedures. A special shout out to his office staff, technicians, nurses, Dr. BEYER. They were all so nice and so accommodating. His surgery staff, all worked in sync with each other...very alert to all your needs..all so sweet and nice and caring. Dr Hasty is one of the nicest and best qualified to handle all your questions, discusses best options. So happy that Dr. Hasty performed my eye surgery...he was there all through the 7 minute surgery reassuring me exactly what he was doing during surgery..no pain no problems....fast and efficient. Thank you Dr Hasty and staff for all you have done allowing me to see better than I ever have....highly recommend Dr. HASTY FOR ALL YOUR EYE NEEDS. Joanne Moseley

Dr H performed cataract surgery, pleased with outcome. However, a follow-up is near imposible. No appointment scheduled since August and now he's out of the office until MAY! I guess they got paid and that's that. I senses tell me its time it seek care elsewhere.

Ben Hastings fails to listen or advice patients. In my treatment, his decision was to insert medication via a needle into my eye. He failed to tell me of the possible side effects. I developed Ptosis as a side effect. I had to have corrective surgery. I did not choose him for anymore medical attention.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hasty,'s for several years now, I have found him to be an excellent physician who has listened and addressed all my concerns. This last visit to his offices I chose to see Dr. Robinson because the wait was so long for Dr. Hasty,Dr. Robinson was just as awesome! Wonderful team!

I had COVID January 30 and for me to be vaccinated is not only dangerous but it is proven that it destroys covid antibodies. When I went for my appointment the receptionist said without vaccination I had to wear a mask or leave. I asked the receptionist did she not trust her vaccination protection and obviously she and the staff do not because I who have legit antibodies was asked to leave and refused service. The CDC have repeatedly said mask do not work but why trust science when offices like this keep getting paid to ignore it.
