My daughter was 3 years old and was pulling on a glass decoration, broke it and ended up poking herself right in her retina. We went to the emergency room and were seeing a doctor that scared us to death saying she was going to lose her eye. Dr Shuler was ending her shift and happened to walk by and overheard our dilemma. She took the Dr aside and said she would perform the needed surgery. She was amazing! She saved my daughter's eye. When we arrived at the ER my daughter's retina was oozing out of the puncture and her eye looked really distorted. After Dr Shuler finished you couldn't even tell anything had happened. If you examined closely you could see these tiny, almost microscopic stitches on her eye I was so amazed at her ability to perform such a surgery. We followed up with Dr Shuler and my daughter had to wear glasses for a year or so until her eye matured some then she no longer needed them. She required glasses as she grew up but I don't think it was related to her injury. Dr Shuler saved my daughter's eye and her sight and almost 20 years later I still say prayers to bless her hands so she can save other patients. We are eternally grateful for her!

Magdalena Shuler is the worst profesional I ever have encountered. She is not personable, at all. At the end of my examination, she gave a quick and disjointed explanation. I had questions about clarification of the next steps I needed to take or that she may be taking. In the middle of my questions, she stood up and walked out of the exam room, closing the door behind her. What should have happened, was she should have said, "I need to get to my next patient; however, my assistant can answers any questions you may have. If he cannot answer them, please schedule an appointment to come back to see me when we can further discuss your concerns." That would have been the polite, professional thing for her to do. Her staff is nice and professional; however, I will NEVER subject myself to the care or lack of care of Magdalena Shuler ever again.

Dr Maggie Shuler has been treating my eyes for Macular Degeneration for five plus years after moving to P C Fl from MS where I was being treated also. Dr Shuler is great, she spends the time with me to explain details, answer any question that I ask. Her staff in the Panama City office is also most professional in caring for the patients, very friendly in which makes you feel very comfortable before the treatment, they keep me being able to see.
