I have been so happy with Big Bend Family Eye Care. We are self pay and it is refreshing to call somewhere and they can give you an immediate clear price right on the phone, no surprises. Their prices are very reasonable and their staff are very sweet, quick, and knowledgeable. I have been there as well as my teen son. My previous experiences at eye doctors has been less than stellar and the wait is usually long and the prices keep going up during the appointment! I am very happy with my experience with Big Bend Family Eye Care and highly recommend them!

This place is wonderful. Had a enjoyable experience. Great atmosphere and positive vibes. Tiffany and her crew are amazing! I was a formerly with hhe eye care in Madison for 5 years until they closed there door Dec 31 2025. Then I was forced to find another eye doctor. During checkout to get new frames. I cannot say enough good things about Big Bend Family Eye Care, especially Monica. I came in without an appointment for my daughter, who has special needs, and Monica was absolutely wonderful with her. She took her time, made her feel comfortable, and was so patient while sizing her and doing the eye test.
The entire staff here is outstanding. They always greet you by name, make eye contact, listen attentively, and create an overall pleasant experience. It's rare to find a place that feels so welcoming and personal.
As for pricing, I can't speak for everyone, but to me it was very reasonable, and I really appreciate that they accept a wide variety of insurances. That makes it so much easier for families like mine.

Be careful before making an appointment here as their website is very misleading! Made an appointment online for my 12 year old daughter because she needs new glasses, show up and they tell us they do not take our insurance even though it clearly states on their website they do. Now after waiting weeks, my daughter now has to wait another 3 weeks to be seen, unacceptable!
