Dr. Amanda Matthews

Dr. Matthews did a superb cataract surgery on both eyes. I have never seen very clearly and I must say when I open my eyes in the morning and see sharp and clear I am over-joyed!! She chose the perfect lenses and prescription for me. Her bedside manner is wonderful, always cheerful and positive. She truly takes the best care of her patients. The procedure was painless. I highly recommend Amanda Matthews for cataract surgery! She's excellent!!

Dr. Matthews is an EXCEPTIONAL ophthalmologist! She is highly credentialed and experienced, but her bedside manner and genuine concern for her patients are what set her apart from other doctors. I became her patient almost a year ago, and she performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes in January. The outcome was fantastic, and she and her wonderful staff were extremely supportive every step of the way! I left a huge ophthalmology group in search of more personal, attentive care, and I surely found it with Dr. Matthews! She and her practice are a testament to excellent medical care! Dr. Matthews is simply beyond wonderful! She performed cataract surgery on both my eyes in November, and my vision is dramatically improved, so incredibly sharper...basically perfect! I wore contact lenses (first hard, then semi rigid gas permeable lenses) for years and years, and being able to get rid of them is life changing. Dr. Matthews is very much involved with all her patients ( my husband sees her also), and takes a personal interest in your treatment and recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Matthews for any and all eye issues. Her staff members are all very friendly and extremely helpful.

Dr. Matthews is a board-certified ophthalmologist. In '2020 I was referred to her by my optometrist for a consultation regarding cataract surgery. Before making an appointment to see Dr. Matthews I did my homework. Her professional credentials are outstanding. Dr. Matthews is not only a brilliant doctor and a skilled surgeon, (she did operate on both my eyes), she is patient and kind and caring. Soon after my cataract surgery my optometrist moved out of state. I asked Dr. Matthews if she would take me on as a patient for all of my eye needs. Fast forward to '2023. My eye care over the past three years has been excellent. Dr. Matthews purchased Palmer Eye Care when Dr. Palmer retired. With every visit I see improvements in the practice. I am greeted by the same professional staff each year, which says a lot about Dr. Matthews. I highly recommend Dr. Matthews. She and her staff will treat you well.

Dr Matthews just did cataract surgery on my right eye. She and her team were excellent. Seven Hills Surgery Center has their act together. Everyone I encountered were pleasant, informative and I was in and out in no time. I had no after effects except my distance vision dramatically improved. I'm back to 20/20 distance and can put off my left eye bc they seem to be working well together and I'll get glasses for reading. Today was my final follow-up w Dr Matthews all was good. I highly recommend her.

My cousin was Dr Matthews first patient when she came to Albany Ga. When she moved to Tallahassee Fla it was devastating but I took over taking care of making sure she gets to Tallahassee because there is no Doctor anywhere as good as Dr Amanda Matthews. She has been extremely good to my cousin and if not for Dr. Matthews and God there is no doubt in my mind she would be blind. My cousin was a RN for 35 years but unfortunately Glaucoma changed that about 10 years ago maybe longer I can't remember exact year. I would rate Dr Matthews a 10 plus she is the most kind and caring Dr that i have ever met. We thank God for her you will never go wrong using her as your eye doctor she is amazing.

Had lens replacement surgery, she is awesome! Not even reading glasses! She told me what to expect every step of the way! She defines informed consent!! She is a precious person. I did hate one thing, she left us. I guess I'm driving four hours to see her if she will have me.

Great Opthalmologist!! So nice, and have always been treated well for my yearly exams.
