Dr. Deanna Louie

Dr. Louie is delightful. However, Eye Associates scheduling/time management is worse than any business I've ever used. The appointment took MUCH too long from start to finish, and Dr. L was clearly rushed, still speaking as she exited to hurry to the next patient. I will look for more efficient eye care elsewhere.

Dr. Louie was very knowledgeable and extremely gentle with my 9 month old son. He can be very active and determined, so he is not the easiest patient. Dr, Louie allowed his little eyes to fully dialate with several rounds of drops before viewing. When it was time to examine his retinas, she patiently adjusted her position each time he adjusted his. The best part was so did her assistant, who was attempting to keep my son's eyes open and his gaze on an episode of Cocomelon that she had playing on a phone she was holding over Dr. Louie's shoulder the entire time. Their excellent team work allowed us to get the answers we needed. CON - The front of house waiting area is run like Labcorp or the DMV with multiple intake personnel working at stations that you cannot access until you are called. There is also an information desk with a task manager attempting to keep everyone organized and on schedul. You have to use the electronic kiosks to sign in before having a seat in a crowded waiting area. This was off putting for me. As I said, I have a 9 month child. I try not to expose his immune system to a lot of people. Once seated, you wait for the last four digits of your phone number to be called and the number station you are being summoned to before approaching reception to provide your contact and insurance information. After signing a series of releases, you are sent back to the first waiting area to be called by the back of house staff. There is another, smaller waiting room back there.

Dr. Louie and her staff were incredibly kind and thorough. They took their time explaining the surgery and my different options, and I never once felt rushed. The level of care was very positive and genuine.

As my first time ever having to visit an eye doctor, I must say I'll never go back here. They lack common decency. I had two people in my appointment and I asked the guy who he was and he declined to answer. He then had to do the pressure on my eyes and felt the need to lean my head back and other things without explaining to me what he was going to do before doing it. I had to tell him to stop and explain things before putting his hands on me. He then got upset and never returned to my appointment. The Dr made my appointment results seem minor and due to my weight but I told her I was on my weight loss journey and that I lossed 26 pounds prior to my visit. I came to be seen to figure out why I, a person with 20/20 vision, kept having my vision go completely dark at random times and she made the appointment about continuing to lose weight. I am not a big girl at all and that had nothing to do with my optic nerve having pressure on it due to the high pressure on my brain. I will never return to this facility again!

Dr.Louie did a great job on my surgery. Not only is the pain gone. My vision has improved as well. I will definitely go back if I ever need eye surgery again.

Good amount of quality time spent with the pre-doctor part....Eye reviews and checking with necessary eye drops administered etc. Dr. Louie was punctual and efficient. She answers all my questions, and upon leaving, I felt I understood my eyes' health.

I had the best experience with Dr.Louie. I like that she was comforting during my minor procedure. I will definitely recommend Eye Associates for all your eye problems. Such a great group of doctors!!!!

Staff was very friendly. They were very thorough with the tests that were given during my exam. Very pleased with everyone that I saw. Scheduler was very helpful in accommodating my work schedule.
