Hatcher Opticians

I went to Hatcher Opticians for the first time today and it was hands-down the best eye care visit I've ever had. I was taken back for my exam immediately--no waiting, no fuss--and the best part: no dilation necessary for my exam. Instead, they used a high-tech imaging machine to photograph the inside of my eyes. Insurance doesn't cover it the same way dilation is covered, but it was only $29 out of pocket (and completely worth it to avoid walking around half-blind for the rest of the day) The doctor was fantastic--knowledgeable, approachable, and took the time to answer my questions without rushing. Their selection of frames is amazing, and the bright, open, circular showroom makes you actually want to stay and browse a while instead of panic buying the first pair you see. With my basic state employee vision coverage, my exam, lenses, and a pair of Tory Burch frames totaled just $89. Incredible value and an excellent experience from start to finish.

I had used Hatcher optical many years ago for glasses/contact lenses and the service was satisfactory. However I recently left a pair of prescription sunglasses there to be repaired back around September. The man at the front desk assured me they would be repaired and I would be notified of when to pick them up... Well here we are in the middle of December and no response from them. I've called 3 times and no one knows where my glasses are. Very poor communication and customer service. Never again.

Called around for a same week appointment and they were available the same day! Very reasonably priced glasses and exam. My daughter needed glasses ASAP, luckily her glasses will be ready within 24 - 48 hours because they prepare the glasses in-house! I am impressed.

Textbook 5 star experience. The storefront itself is the most beautiful I've seen for an eyeglass/optician center. I was greeted warmly and left to browse, while the gentleman swiftly and discreetly took care of my purchase info. I found a gorgeous pair of glasses that really exceeded my expectations in aesthetic and function--for a very fair price!

The most important part of this business is that you are served with precise attention to your needs. You must be patient and willing to take the time to breath, relax and enjoy the moment of your life where you are self consciously taking care of your eye health! Well done! You should be proud of yourself for taking the time to do this.

We haven't needed to go much, but whenever we have gone Hatcher Optical was cheerful, courteous, very prompt, and professional. They have been generous with their time! We appreciate the fine service. May GOD bless you and your business!

Amazing service!! I had an eye emergency and needed a new pair of glasses ASAP. I was able to drop off my prescription at 1:30pm and picked up my glasses around 6pm. The man who seemed to be running the show alone was kind, thoughtful, and so so helpful. He was able to work with me to keep my bill within budget.Would recommend to any and every one!

I have a very difficult prescription with prism and trifocals and they always get it right. It takes a little time but it's worth it. And they have replaced broken lenses with no questions asked. They Cleaned my glasses even removed my lenses to get paint out of the edges for free. I won't go anywhere else.
