1-7 update. Wait was extremely long, been here and hour and still haven't seen thw doctor. They obviously overbook appts. Wait is not long, dr is great but they don't give prescriptions for eye glasses, so basically u get a full eye exam that they can obviously give and rx for yet they do not so u have to go elsewhere to get an rx for glasses eventhough they do an exam...ridiculous, most likely our last visit here for my stepfather. Staff is great. Only complaint is they don't give prescriptions!

I had lasik done in April 2024. I was -4.5 prescription and even the big letter E at the top of the eye doctor paper they have you read was blurry. Now I have 20/15 vision. My procedure took 5 mins for each eye. Super quick. I was awake the whole time, they were telling me each step as we went, and I didn't feel a single thing all the way through. Dr. Amanda made me feel extremely comfortable, was super confident (making me feel confident about it), and really friendly. I had blurry vision the rest of that day and my eyes were very sensitive/uncomfortable. I stayed home and I had to keep putting in the eye drops they gave me. It got a lot better the second day and I was able to drive with sunglasses, run errands and everything. I looked back at my photos and on the third day I was working out and I was pretty much completely back to normal. I kept using my eye drops for about a week though just when they'd get dry on occasion. My night vision was different for a few months. The car lights and street lights looked sprayed out but still totally drivable. It went away after those few months though. In my opinion it's the best thing I've ever done and since I got it done at 22 yrs old I'll benefit from it for about 15-20 years from now. It's been 2 years and still no complications. I had mine done with Dr. Amanda.

I liked dr Witfield but I called in to let them know that i was going to be in a few minutes because I lived out there in the country from 45 minutes away. When I called them, they said that as long when I got here at 11:00 I'll be fine. When I arrive there they canceled my appointment for being one minute late. And the new guy with the policies is going to ruin the business. Now i'm not so sure if i can trust the place. I would've recommended to everybody but not until I had a bad experience with them.

I never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to today. My mother has seen Dr. Matthews for years and she is absolutely amazing. The reason for the one star review is the front desk staff, Mya (Mia). Not sure how it spelled. She has the absolute WORST attitude with patients and staff. I have sat in the lobby while she has been nasty with patients. I feel awful for some of these elderly patients. No patient, but certainly not the elderly, deserve to be treated the way they are treated by her. I have also watched her be very aggressive verbally with multiple staff members. I can only imagine that several have left because of how she treats them. I've seen more faces at that front desk during the years my mom has been a patient. It's outrageous that she feels it's acceptable to speak to people in this manner and that such behavior is tolerated in a healthcare setting. (I'm surprised she hasn't been fired). While I understand that offices need staff, allowing her to communicate with others the way she does should not be accepted. I have even considered moving my mother to another doctor, but she truly adores Dr. Matthews. Again, Dr. Matthews is fantastic, but this woman should not be working in healthcare.

I went to this office and Amanda Mathews and all the actual staff are more than awesome. I had a bad eye problem and was having to be seen more than once or twice a week. I'm self employed so some days I was late but always paid my late fees and all was good. Now my last apt I couldn't make because I was sick from 30 yrs being a type 1 diabetic and having hand surgery, now, the supposed top dude in the office which now refused to let me see them from one missed apt. So he, this office manager has no care in the world if you go blind or not, doesn't care why or how you may have missed one apt. Like I said ty dr Mathews and all the rest of the great staff except for the guy who runs the place who kicked me off their team for one missed visit. I'd like to say much more about this dude and his practices but I'll keep that t{ myself. For everyone else I'd sujust finding another eye doctor as this place has no care in the world.

I had LASIK with Dr Matthews. My experience here was exemplary from the front desk staff, to the coordinators, to the techs. I could not be happier with my results, I only wish I had done it sooner.

Dr. Whitney Whitfield and her staff were very knowledgeable, thorough, and caring with me. Their office is very high tech, they have state of the art machines for testing that put the Mayo Clinic to shame! They took the time to make sure I was comfortable at all stages and made sure I understood what was happening. I am so grateful for the superior service I received. Thank you!

From start to finish, Palmers was wonderful. Every detail explained, every question answered. Each day of surgery went smoothly like a well oiled machine. Every one I came into contact with was kind, and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Matthew's, to me, is a miracle worker. I've needed glasses for 40 years and now I'm glasses free since surgery. She removed my cataracts and placed lenses in. One for distance and one for near sighted. I'm amazed how perfect she got it. I highly recommend her!! Thank you Dr. Matthew's.
