Dr. Angie Pei

Dr. Angie Pei is the best Doctor of Optometry I have known. She was highly recommended by my esteemed retina specialist who treats my advancing macular degeneration. Dr Pei gave me a thorough exam during which she carefully considered my problematic eye history. The resulting lens prescription has corrected my vision far better than I expected. Everything about my office experience with Dr. Pei, and then fabulous Frances fitting me for lenses, was a demonstration of professional competency and compassion. Dr. Pei is remarkable.

My husband and I had back to back appointments with Dr. Pei last week as new patients, having moved to Tampa in April. From the first phone call, her assistant was so reassuring about the efforts the office makes to be safe during the pandemic, and our experience there bore out her words. From frequent cleaning to being careful about how many people were in the space, their efforts were much appreciated. Our exams with Dr. Pei were extremely thorough, and she frequently consulted the records we brought with us after our move. She was both personable and professional. We would recommend her highly!

Dr. Pei is absolutely amazing. She takes the time to explain her procedures and gives the best advice on options. She genuinely cares about each and every patient. Her new offices are wonderful and her vision wear colleague (Eyewear Designs by Frances) is really fun. I left from my visit walking on a cloud as it was the most amazing experience. I went to the eye doctor and left feeling like I went to a spa.

Dr. Pei is the absolute best, she is super kind, intelligent, and patient, and she explains everything she is doing and why. She will check your vision and get you the best prescription for you, regardless of what a previous doctor has prescribed (she won't just do the same thing and send you away, she makes sure you see the best that you can!). She teaches you how to best care for you eyes and contact lenses, how to clean them, and how to handle them. In addition, the tests done in the office won't hurt your eyes (no puffs or getting poked or weird tests that make you want to run away screaming), she has the most painless tests so I don't mind going to see her. She is really good about helping you get your receipts submitted to your insurance and sends you home with all the information you need. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. I've been to 4 different eye doctors in the Tampa area and she is my favorite! I've learned so much by going to her and other doctors never took the time to explain to me how things were working. I went to her when she was at Sam's Club and came to her new office location because I missed how good she is. I was also super happy that she kept all her old patient files from Sam's and still had records from the last time I saw her.

All medical professionals should meet Dr Peis standards. She is professional, compassionate, and goes the extra mile to make sure her patients recieve the best care. Not only did she get me in quickly for an emergency appointment, she ensured I got the best referral and follow up. Just outstanding!

I have know Dr. Pei for many, many years. She has always gone about and beyond with her care for me. I felt very comfortable in her office and exam room with Covid going on. My eyes had been bothering me but after spending an hour with her, she was able to adjust my prescription and my vision has never been better. She also saved me $200 on my contacts and gave me better prices than any website possibly could. She is wonderful. She books up fast, so book in advance. Even if you have to wait a little bit it will be worth it. You will not find a better Dr. anywhere. Frances is a hoot. Check her out for all your eyewear needs. Dr. Pei is the most amazing optometrist ever. I have been seeing her since I was 16 years old and 7 years later she's still my absolute favorite. She's so kind, funny, and informative. I really couldn't ask for a better eye doctor and I highly recommend her to anyone.
