Dr. Cook's New Tampa Walmart Vision Center

I suffered a serious eye injury while training Jiu-Jitsu over the weekend, and with all the eye specialists in my area closed, I was in severe pain, stressed, and unsure what to do. My urgent care center could only offer basic treatment and advice. Fortunately, I managed to get in touch with Dr. Cook on a Sunday morning, and he immediately came to my aid. I was so impressed by his kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help me without hesitation -- as if I were a longtime friend. He quickly assessed my situation, provided the proper treatment, and truly made all the difference in resolving my eye issue. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Cook's efforts, compassion, and sheer altruism. He is an absolute legend of a doctor and a person. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would -- 7 stars! !!!!

Walked in, was seen right away. Never had such a thorough eye exam even though I've had contacts and glasses for 25 years! Dr. Cook was so patient, kind, and professional and made sure all scripts worked for me. Five stars! Thank you, Dr. Cook and Ms. Courtney!

I used to go see this doctor for years.... his quality of prescription and his quickness in work always made him a delight to see. However, I had an appointment that was rescheduled due to the Dr. fault (i believe he decided to take off that day) and they rescheduled me after 2 weeks which moved me in to a new month. Unfortunately, My insurance was changed by my company and the new insurance that they use was not accepted by this doctor. Rather then accepting the fault and allowing us to pay the original fee, they charged us the new fee blaming it on not having insurance. When I explained to them what happened and how it was not my fault.... The DOCTOR not the staff stated "pay the reduced amount and don't come here again." Really sad to see how this doctor would treat a patient who has been seeing him for years (5 years) that way. Needless to say I found another great doctor within weeks and will never go back to him. Crappy greedy doctors dont make good doctors.

Dr. Cook and his team are phenomenal. I have been going to Dr. Cook for 10 years. He is great for contact lenses. The glasses here are cheap and good quality, although lab can be slow to process.

Dropped off my eyeglass prescription, was told it would take a week. I never heard back so I went there and asked about my glasses 10 days later. Staff tells me they don't know why the glasses are not here yet and the "lab" is backed up. It has now been 16 days. No calls no apologies. Any other place would have some courtesy to at least let the customer know what they delay is. Wish I never came to this pathetic Walmart optical center. Go somewhere else if you want your glasses because you will not get them from here in more than 2 weeks at least. Update: someone from their staff told me the glasses are still not ready and to come in for a refund. Will go somewhere else to get glasses

I'm very positively impressed with the service I received at vision center. Everyone is very professional. They show respect, patience, kindness, consideration. They are knowledgeable. They work with their patients to meet their needs and to get them leave the place satisfied and comfortable with their purchase. 10 starts to Dimple and Orin, who is the manager, they give a service which is not easily found nowadays. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
