Dr. Iris Matsukado, O.D.

Dr. Matsukado is pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable. She caught a discrepancy in my prescription from a previous eye doctor and it is now corrected. She also provided an over the counter recommendation to help with slight allergies that I had not even thought to mention on the visit. It is that kind of thoroughness and attention to detail that I really appreciate! Looking forward to seeing her again on my next visit.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Son went in for an exam for contacts/glasses with Iris Matsukado. He was sent home with a trial pair of another lens. He tried for 3 days and reported that they were not comfortable and he wanted a script for his Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus which he's been wearing with no issue for the past 5 years. Iris refused as she said he was wearing Air Optix when she saw him. That is a ridiculous statement since we took a copy of his 2021 script but the office gave it back. I offered to bring in the scripts for the past 5 years indicating he always wore Dailies to no avail. Iris would not admit her mistake or finalize the script and the only thing she would do is require son to come back in again. He had to wait 2 weeks for an appt. When we did go back in, son saw someone else who within 5 minutes of seeing him finalized the correct script; didn't see Iris. Hhhmmm, wonder why doctor wouldn't see my son? Just a coincidence? Another mistake we encountered when Iris suggested son purchase +.50 magnification blue light glasses to use when working long hours on computer. Too blurry. I have him a pair with no magnification and they worked perfectly. For his glasses, we will use his 2021 script as we are not confident in Iris' scripts, but have complete confidence in the doctor seen last year in NJ.
