Dr. Makati takes time to explain things and educate you about what's going on with your eyes, rather than rushing through your exam. He let my son try two different contract prescriptions in the office to really make sure the higher Rx was the right option, showed me an anomaly on my other son's optic nerves, and took time to (delicately) explain to me how vision changes with age.
He can take retinal images so you don't need to get your eyes dilated. Seems like that should be standard but a lot of doctors still don't have this capability.
Eye doctors can seem like a dime a dozen when every mall and discount department store has an optical center, but it's worth your time to go see Dr. Makati.
