Dr. Fazio - The best doctor you can find for Keratoconus in Tampa. My son got his cross linking surgery done at Newsom Eye. Dr. Fazio been helping my son and the best decision ever. We will never see another doctor for his eye. Very knowledgeable and extremely professional.

The wait after my eyes were dialated seemed long but really wasn't seeing as how they have to give the eyes time to dilate all the way. The doctor was great and explained everything to me. He was nice and personable. I felt comfortable talking to him and I understood everything he said to me. I would recommend him to my friends and family. In fact I did recommend him to my husband since he has the same insurance as me.

Excellence. Dr. Fazio was excellent . He was thorough in explaining my eye challenges and future concerns, was professional, pleasant and reassuring. He clearly knows a lot, and at the same time cares about comforting his patients. The receptionist Lailani (spelling?) was particularly friendly and welcoming. All the staff was good.
I wish Newsom did not insist you go upstairs to their optical in order to get your eyeglass prescription, it's an unnecessary step whose purpose is pretty transparent. The doctors office should give you your prescription when you pay, as is customary.
And if they want to promote the optical, they can do that at that point. Patients are inconvenienced by having to go upstairs to "get their prescription" and then having to wait to speak to an optician.
You were actually made to speak to the optician, and there was only one there who was busy, in order to get your prescription. That's a pretty heavy-handed business practice.
