" Kind Folks" and efficient! Angie scheduled my appointment and provided a reminder call. Her husband Dr. Roger fixed my old glasses that I had purchased on-line. I was in and out in less than an hour. No high pressure sales. Nice selection of glasses! Great utilization of their space. It's a small place but didn't feel cramped. Dr. Barrido Was very thorough and making sure he had the correct prescription. He was professional and focused. I felt very welcomed!

You can get your eye refraction done by a doctor of optomertry and glasses made at the same place. Roger and Angie go to great lengths to insure the glasses you receive are the perfect fit for comfort and vision. Roger fitted my wife with glasses based on a refraction from her optomologist tech. He replaced the old lense the new RX at no charge!

First off, this is going to be a little long. Sorry. 2022 Dad first started going when he got health insurance money was a little tight, and Frey was able to get us taken care of with what we could afford. A few years later, 2025, I took my girlfriend there. insurance wasn't up for a new pair of glasses, so we paid out of pocket with designer frames. We paid for her frames and lens with upgrades for what other places were charging for the frames alone. 2025 Dads insurance changed and wasn't accepted at Frey, so we went to another place (OO on fowler). After insurance, they were gonna charger $450 with fewer upgrades than my girlfriends. So we canceled and called Frey, and he said COME ON IN WE WILL GET YOU FIXED UP. We got 2 pairs of nice frames with upgrades WITHOUT insurance and spent the same as 1 pair at other place WITH insurance. Personally, i feel Frey is not out to make money he is out there to give people their sight back. He doesn't rush you in and take your money, then rush you out the door. He spends the time and holds you by the hand with a smile every time. Never again will we go to another placebesides Frey.

My cousins get their glasses there every 6months and they always love their glasses and frame selection is awesome!

I've been seeing Dr. Frey for over thirty years now, since before he opened his Eye Design place. This man has been nothing short of a life saver when it comes to my glasses and eyewear that I need for work and everyday life. This place has an excellent selection of frames, and he will always get your lenses crafted right on the the nose. Trust me, you won't be disappointed by going to this place for your eyecare related needs!

The staff at Frey Eye Design are very nice and accommodating. My Dad had a great experience with Dr. Barrido and Roger during his eye exam and when he chose his glasses. Dee is always very pleasant and nice on the phone whenever we call for inquiries. They provide excellent customer service which we appreciate very much.

Adding to the praise. Found Frey Eye Designs because they are one of few who take the Hillsborough County Health Plan. Scheduled an eye exam, they had availability within two days. Professional exam, lots of tailored guidance towards selecting glasses and what to expect with lens options, and a great pair of glasses from what's clearly a small business doing good work.
