I went to this practice referred by my primary Dr and was very pleased. The office is clean, the front desk lady was very friendly, the technician was great and Dr Jacob wonderful as well. She took her time to listen to my concerns and provided a plan of action to follow for my condition and even provided coupons for savings. Very happy to have found this practice.

1. The lady who tried to put IV needle failed three attempts with me in pain. Then she called her colleague to do it. She should have asked her colleague to take care especially at least after 2nd attempt. I was very disappointed.
2. When I left after the surgery they should have offered me a patch or shield to protect my eye from scratching accidentally while sleeping. They just sent me home. Only when I was going to bed I realized and put a big gauze type cotton. and put tape. When I went for the follow up next day I asked the doctor to give me one.
I was surprised and disappointed those two important procedures they failed.
Hope they correct in future.

Not impressed. I felt like I was a bother since I walked in the office . The Tech wore no gloves to touch eye drops and my eyes. She also had a know it all attitude. I asked what the drops were for the eye pressure test and she wad rude. Sorry, but you're not putting drops in my eyes unless I know what they are. The doctor called in an Rx that no pharmacy carries. I will follow up wirh a new Dr next week. Never coming back to your offices.

Very Professional.. Had an appointment for an eye exam and appointment was started with an assistant, eye doctor tested and quickly indicated a need for attention with a specialist. Appoint could have been made for less than 3 weeks but for my schedule needed it to be 4 weeks. All friendly staff.

Justina M. Jacob, OD, a New Jersey native, completed her graduate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following optometry school, she completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ, which is an affiliate of the SUNY College of Optometry in NYC. Her extensive training in ocular disease has given her the skills to diagnose a wide range of diseases including dry eyes, uveitis, glaucoma, and several corneal and retinal disorders. Dr. Jacob has a passion for managing ocular health which is why she joined The Eye Institute of West Florida.
