- Dr. Justina Jacob is exceptional. However, there is dissatisfaction with the clinic ("Eyes Institute Clinic)due to the charging for extra tests that are already covered by insurance. For three years, the reception desk at the clinic in Tampa has been acting incorrectly, charging unfair amounts, even after insurance has confirmed coverage. This issue is detrimental, as we do not want to lose the doctor's care." In addition to causing stress with the reception manager who is intolerant, arrogant and indifferent to what I say, she should confirm with insurance first to avoid this stress.

Justina M. Jacob, OD, a New Jersey native, completed her graduate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following optometry school, she completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ, which is an affiliate of the SUNY College of Optometry in NYC. Her extensive training in ocular disease has given her the skills to diagnose a wide range of diseases including dry eyes, uveitis, glaucoma, and several corneal and retinal disorders. Dr. Jacob has a passion for managing ocular health which is why she joined The Eye Institute of West Florida.
