Unfortunately, my recent visit did not go well. An interaction with Alexa quickly became uncomfortable due to her dismissive and unprofessional attitude. What started as a simple misunderstanding escalated unnecessarily, and I felt spoken to in a way that was disrespectful and uncalled for.
I do want to acknowledge that management addressed the situation and accepted responsibility, which I appreciate. That said, the experience itself left a negative impression. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy, and this interaction fell far short of that standard.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience really disappointed me. My interaction with Alexa was uncomfortable from the start. She came across as irritated and spoke to me in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh over what was simply a misunderstanding. It made the entire visit stressful and unpleasant.
While I respect that management stepped in and acknowledged the issue, the damage had already been done. As a customer, basic professionalism and courtesy should be a given, and unfortunately, that wasn't my experience this time.
I had a very disappointing experience with Alexa. She was impatient, unprofessional, and quite rude during what was simply a misunderstanding. The way she handled the situation made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and I left feeling pretty terrible about the interaction.
I am giving 2 stars because the administration did take accountability for how the situation was handled, which I do appreciate. However, as a paying customer, the way I was treated left a very bad impression and an overall unpleasant experience.
I was in the very professional care of Dr. Martino and Dr. Tally during the last six months. Unfortunately they referred me to the ophthalmologist Dr. Ho who works in the same office. Now at my second visit with dr. Ho she made us wait more than one hour as she was late. I understand everyone can have a bad day, but Dr. Ho showed very little care, didn't review my file beforehand and had no interest in finding ways to improve my eyesight. There was no emphasis on exploring other avenues to curb inflammation in the back of my eyes. After almost two years of continuous use of steroid drugs my eyes are now worse than ever. Dr. Ho had very little interest in my situation. Having a bad day shouldn't be at the cost of the patients
let me start off by saying that Leisa was so wonderful,Caring, compassionate and needs more than just a pat on the back. The amount of care she showed me was more than 5stars !!!!! I had so many fears and worries and She eased my mind. She told me to breathe In relax and smell the roses and breathe out and blow out the candles .and that I'm in good hands. She put all my worries aside and showed so much compassion . I thank God for her . She has the professionalism of a Doctor who's been doing this kind of work all her life . LEISA KEEP BEING YOU . Your amazing!!!!!. Also Leon was simply sweet and patient and caring . He took time with me and made sure I was comfortable with each procedure. And finally Dr Janie Ho thank you for your Guidance and insight and instructions to keep my eyes healthy . Your knowledge and attention to details was impeccable. I love this place and would recommend the staff to anyone who has fears and worries . God is Good . Thank you to everyone at The Eye institute of Florida!!!
After years of visiting other ophthalmologists and feeling miserable due to my severe dry eye and keratitis, I was referred to the institute. It was my greatest blessing to be treated by Dr. Desai, whose expertise and care exceeded all my expectations. He performed ocular reconstruction surgery with amniotic membrane. Throughout my recovery, he is assertive and highly effective. May God continue to grant him wisdom and knowledge to care for his patients in the wonderful way he does. He and his staff are the best experience I've ever had. Thank you so much.
The wait time is way too long. They called me in and misplaced my chart, which resulted in me waiting for an hour and a half for absolutely no reason. They don't respect your time here, it was also overbooked on top of that.
They also used my full name to call me in the waiting room which is a HIPPAA violation.
The doctor was very good with her explanations and very clearly had compassion for her patients. I think the front desk/technical staff just needs training, and less over booking to minimize errors.
The Doctors and Staff are simply AMAZING. I have been a patient of Dr Cothan's for over 5+ years and my heart is FILLED with the utmost respect and gratitude for her expertise and professionalism. My eye issues are extremely rare and unique but she managed to save my vision and help me navigate through other issues. I highly recommend Dr Corhan.
