Center for Sight: Scott A. Stevens, O.D.

My recent visit to Center for Sight in Venice was EXCEPTIONAL! Dr. Scott Stevens demonstrated a high level of expertise and professionalism during my annual exam. He discovered angle closure and took the time to clearly explain the condition and the importance of follow-up care. The entire experience was seamless. The front desk staff was organized and courteous, and the clinical team was excellent. It's reassuring to know you're in such capable hands. I'm very thankful for their thoroughness and care.

Venice location - be warned!! Front desk staff is amazing ... Dr Steven's was fairly knowledgeable and very friendly. HOWEVER... the techs here are either ignorant or deceitful. Not sure which is worse honestly. I've been to other CFS locations, if there was a reason you couldn't dilate then they'd mark it in the chart and proceed with the exam. Not at the Venice site . The tech told both me and my wife that it was "Florida Law" that dilation was required...and that insurance payment for the visit could be in jeopardy if we refused . Mind you, this was after we waited in the waiting room 30-45 mins for our appts, and have already gone back and started the exam. I understand a doc would personally decide to refuse your exam if you refuse dilation... but that's not what we were told. We were told it was "Florida Law". I also verified with the insurance company that there is no correlation between dilation and visit reimbursement or coverage . So things are a bit fishy at this location so be on your guard!

This facility was recommended by a friend. The staff is extremely friendly and competent. The technician was knowledgeable and thorough. Dr. Stevens took his time and explained my eye problems in an understandable way. I guess their non-rushed competency for all patients backs up the appointments--I had to wait over half an hour but it was worth it.

They are very professional, extremely knowledgeable and good listeners. Dr. Stevens is a terrific optometrist. My wife and I ended up buying two pairs of glasses from the outstanding occultist, Valerie. We've been patients for twenty six years.

It was ok. I waited over a hour in the waiting area(s) The young lady that did the exam was great! I'm guessing I spent 45 mins to an hour with her. Dr. Steven's was nice enough, only spent 5-10 mins with him.

Great eye exam experience. Dr Stevens and staff were thorough, professional and very knowledgeable. A great experience!

Office staff gave me an appointment within 24hrs The doctors were very thorough and answered all my questions. I was able to order glasses right away
