I would highly recommend Venice Retina. Dr. Anita Shane is professional, thorough, and explains what is happening with your vision , the cause , the treatment, the prognosis, in detail and in understandable terms. I had Sammy as my technician today. She was personable, professional and explained everything that she was doing and its purpose. The desk staff were pleasant and easy to work with. The office itself is very clean . Highly Recommend . Eileen Comerford
The office always runs smoothly and on time. Dr. Shane spends time after her exam to explain any difference or change in my condition. She further explains any future steps clearly with expected procedures and what the outcomes will be. She has been great since my first diagnosis with her.
Dr. Anita Shane has the best bedside manner ever! She is so kind!!
She was thorough. She explained everything to me. She was so helpful. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone! Very nice staff at the desk they were so helpful with my insurance and my payment! The tech was amazing as well, very thrill, and explained every little thing she was doing and answered all my questions! This office is Outstanding and The highest quality of care.!!
Dr. Shane, the retinal specialist, is very knowledgeable and a superb doctor. I have been getting shots for my macular degeneration. After two years or so, I no longer need them. It really works! Dr Shane carefully monitored my progress and the shots were almost painless . She is a cheerful person to work with.
Dr Shane is an excellent physician for one's eye situations, in my life long experience with having eye/optical medical needs.
Dr Shane is attentive, asks questions/listens & records patient info & our responses & does not rush one...
My wife, both of us are patients, highly recommend Dr Shane & her very professional staff.

Dr Shane was very nice and positive. I have dry macular degeneration and she will perform the Valerda light treatment to my eyes, non invasive, and this technique will stop the progression of Macular degeneration. Also, she informed me that Medicare has just approved it and will pay for it.
Her office staff were all professional and nice.
Another EXCELLENT experience at Venice Retina. Dr. Anita Shane is thorough, consultative, and listens to you. She also has a refreshingly positive, upbeat energy. The staff are very welcoming and supportive - special thanks to Sasha at the front desk, Abigail the technician, and Ariel the scribe.
Couldn't be happier. The entire experience of our second opinion consultation was outstanding. My husband and I were scheduled promptly, seen on time, and found both the staff and Dr.Shane to be personable, efficient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Shane was wonderful about explaining so clearly both of our conditions, how they differ, and why the treatment options are quite different for each of us, despite similar diagnoses. This was exactly what we were hoping for and, as another reviewer said, we now have a new retina specialist!
