From the first consult to LASIK day, everything went so smoothly and better than I could have imagined. I was incredibly apprehensive to do this and have been talking myself out of this for YEARS. I've worn glasses and / or contacts for over 30 years. Michael, the consultation specialist that I initially met with, put me at ease from our first meeting. He was welcoming and very informative, answering all of my questions, and was available by phone or email as needed. He helped schedule all of my remaining post op appts before surgery day as well. I was provided a folder with all the instructions I needed prior to my measurement appts, for surgery day, and then for aftercare. On the day of, everything went so well and so quick. I'm kicking myself for not doing this sooner and I've been raving about the incredible level of service to everyone that knew I was having LASIK that has asked about! So pleased with my experience!
I absolutely love Dr. Johnson -- so kind, so caring, so thoughtful in explaining things in laymen terms, and putting one at ease. I highly recommend her, and Marietta Eye Clinic. The staff, especially surgery days, is also wonderful.
The medical and other staff, and especially my surgeon, Dr. Denise Johnson, are all such wonderful people! Highly professional, patient, kind and courteous in explaining surgery and processes, and generally wonderful in putting a patient at ease, both pre- and post-op. I highly recommend the Acworth clinic.
I was scheduled an appointment through the VA. VA Health offers 100% coverage. The following year MEC contacted me to schedule my annual exam. After my appointment I started getting billed. They said my VA authorization expired. SO WHY DID THEY CONTACT ME TO SCHEDULE THE SECOND APPOINTMENT? They have reported me to a debt collector. I do not work in the MEC back office and I do not process claims for the VA. THESE are the people who SHOULD KNOW about authorizations. THEY HAVE ONE JOB. DON'T GO HERE.THE SECOND APPOINTMENT WAS A WASTE OF TIME, i WAS TESTED WITH MY GLASSES ON AND TOLD i DID NOT NEED GLASSES.
I was extremely disappointed by the significant lack of efficiency during my recent visit. Despite the clinic appearing to have no other patients waiting, a routine annual eye exam took over two hours to complete. This level of time commitment for a standard check-up is unreasonable and suggests a need for better operational management.
I always feel confident that I am receiving the best of care. I do not have to wait long before they call my name. The doctors are direct and completely answers my questions. I had a macular hole in my right eye. Surgery repaired the hole. The team of doctors that have seen me took very good care of me.
Timely, professional, courteous. Dr. Akers' analysis and diagnosis were thorough and fully explained in a friendly and easy to understand manner. Dr. Denise Johnson performed my cataract procedures and did a great job. No discomfort with immediate posive results., amazing really. Highly recommend the organization and these doctors.
Absolutely terrible place to deal with. I've taken my children here in the past. The front office doesn't know what they are doing. Call to say you're going to be late. Nobody answers. Get there 10 minutes late for an appointment that we've been waiting on for months. Scheduling messes up our appointment. So I have to accommodate someone else's mistake. When I am having issues, we don't get seen. So tired of places like this. I was able to get my child into Acworth Family Eyecare the same day, got seen and my child's glasses are ordered. Far better service and bed side manner than I got from Marietta Eye at 7:56 in the morning.
