Casella Eye Center

After a long string of disappointing experiences with another local independent optical shop, I had my eyeglass Rx filled at Casella Eye Center and had an awesome experience. I placed three different orders and they each came back from the lab within the promised timeframe. The optician was very helpful and my vision with the new Rx is crystal clear. Thank you, Dr. Casella for having a great team! I will come to see you for my next exam.

I have been going to Dr. Casella, since I was a little girl. He and the staff have always been extremely professional, very pleasant, and knowledgeable in this field and all areas including the Eye glass choice , which may be more suitable for you and why! I wouldn't trade Dr. Casella for the world! He has been with me step by step and very instrumental with a surgery I chose to have years ago, in Atlanta that went very well! I only trusted him to do the evaluations of my eyes for that procedure and through the entire follow up. Dr. Casella is stuck with me for such! Cassaundra Williams

Dr. Casella's conservative diagnostic orders revealed the presence of a serious medical issue which required immediate surgery. He in turn referred us to a superb physician who provided us with world-class medical care without having to leave Augusta. Concerning more typical office visits, I have always found his staff to be professional, courteous, and pleasant to work with. The selection of eyeglasses is very good. They are very good at helping you to find glasses which will fit the size and shape of your face.

Great experience at Casella's Eye Center! We switched to Casella's because they accept our insurance, but I was very hesitant, as my previous eye doctor was excellent. Casella's office is clean and the staff is professional and courteous. We did not have to wait long. Dr. Casella had a great rapport with my daughter. I am surprised to say we actually enjoyed the appointment! There was a large supply of frames to choose from and the glasses we ordered arrived in a about a week, as expected. If you are looking for a 1 hour place, then this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for personal service and a very friendly atmosphere, try Casella's!

I had an emergency eye issue and happened to be passing through Augusta. I called all of the optometrists in town and Dr. Benjamin Casella was the only one who quickly called me back, met me at his office, and gave me incredible and immediate care. On a Saturday!! I am so grateful for kind, smart and competent folks like Dr. Casella. Could not recommend this practice more. If you live in Augusta and need an eye doctor, go here!!!

I was seen yesterday as an emergency case during the shut down. It was my first experience with Dr Casella and his staff. The woman who checked me in was very kind and professional. Dr. Casella was wonderful! Genuine, caring, professional, knowledgeable, outstanding bedside manner! I can't say enough! They will definitely be my first recommendation to anyone in the CSRA!

I came to patronize this place because my last eye care center was making me pay for things that they didn't honor and never reached out to me when it was time for a new eye appointment. I honestly never heard from them again, so I guess they took my money and ran with it. So I decided to come here. My mother is a patient here and they honor my insurance here so those were all pluses!!! The staff and doctors here are very friendly and gives you the utmost respect while in their care. I had two appointment with Dr. Ben. He checked my eyes to make sure they were in tip toe shape and he fitted for contacts. The contacts that I was given were and still are the best ones I've ever used. Previous ones would dry out and kind of irritate my eyes but the one he issued me feels like I'm not wearing anything at all!!! I love that!!! I also purchased glasses here as well!!! The lady who help with the glasses purchases is super friendly and very helpful!!! I had a hard time deciding what I liked and didn't like, she gave great suggestions. I went with her suggestions and I think I will have a great pair of glasses. This business also keeps up with its customers by sending appointment reminders and letters in the mail. This is what the last place I used lacked in and I'm grateful that I found a place that didn't miss that mark!!! I think this place will do fine with all my eye care needs!!!!

Very friendly and professional. Dr. Ben Casella is as charismatic as he is deeply knowledgeable. Greatly enjoyed my visit here! Frame selection is limited and that part of the process is a bit chaotic, but I think this is true of most small practices and has as much to do with Covid as with anything else. Either way, definitely my go-to recommendation for an optometrist, and conveniently located in the heart of downtown!
