I was skeptical about coming to see Dr Emmanuel Wilkes because I had heard so many negative things about him as far as his bedside manner, but my insurance company sent me to him anyway, and I was sitting in the waiting room, dreadful you know because I needed some assistance but because of what I had heard, I didn't wanna come to this particular doctor, but then I met him and everything changed. It's not that he's mean or don't have any bedside manner it's just that he's strict direct and very professional and when it's concerning your eyes, that should be what you want I know that's what I want. I don't want anybody off focus when dealing with my eyes I want them strict and to the point so that they can take care of my vision issues and send me on my way and that's exactly what he did. I recommend 10 out of 10. after all, I don't come to an eye doctor looking for a friend I come to an eye doctor for their professional knowledge and skill in getting a job done in the best way possible and that's what Doctor Emmanuel Wilkes does so if you want a friend go to tha party but if you want professional ophthalmologist, that knows what he's doing and does it very in a very professional way then I recommend 10 out of 10 Doctor Emmanuel Wilkes. now he lost a star in my review because of how long it takes it does take a long time but in his defense, it takes a long time because he's thorough with his pClients he has patience enough to listen to each patient without rushing them while answering all their questions and their concerns so think about it if you're constantly asking questions when you're back there and he's answering your questions you're not thinking about he has a whole waiting room full of other patients waiting to be seen. You're thinking it's my turn so I'm gonna ask all the questions I have concerning my vision and he does not rush you. He answers your Questions and addresses all of your concerns so hey, you have to choose whether you want quick service or do you want to be knowledgeable of everything that's going on with your eyes? These are eyes for goodness sake. not to mention, he's also shortstaffed so if you want to help speed things along, put in an application instead of complaining.

Not recommended they drag their butts around and make you wait for HOURS unless your a friend or family member that's going in to be seen. They also discriminate and talk down at you for having disabilities that is out of your control he also will cause you sever pain in the eye if you make him mad or disagree with him in any way. He also will spend an hr and a half with other patients but then put you only in for 15 mins at most.

The staff is extremely professional yet personable. Dr Wilkes is in high demand but takes his time to explain and address any concerns you may have. He is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled Retinal Specialists in the region. I actually travel from Atlanta to Columbus because of his expertise. I highly recommend him and his team.

If I could give this less than one star I would, don't waste your time with this place. Waited for 2 hours with an appointment for my mother, but was told all the "regulars" have to be seen first, regardless of appointment times. People with an appointment after were seen first and the staff could care less and were incredibly rude. Take your business elsewhere.

This is my second visit to Dr. Wilkes office. He and his staff are very courteous, professional, and extremely careful about following COVID-19 protocols. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Wilkes is extremely thorough and patient, which means that you might want to bring some reading material or your cellphone with you when you arrive. I'd rather wait, and relax in the knowledge that my concerns will be resolved, than be rushed in and out in order to maximize profits. I appreciate this provider!

Dr. Wilkes and his staff treated me very well. Dr. Wilkes took care of an eye problem and his staff called a day later to follow up on my recovery. I would recommend Dr. Wilkes to everyone, including my family. Thank you to his staff as well. You all are AWESOME!

Dr Wilkes is the greatest. My husband has a serious eye infection to the point of possibly losing his eye sight on a Sunday Dr. Wilkes day off He came in with a professional attitude and was positive did a complete eye examination and told us he needed immediate surgery and the surgery was done and I want to thank him for all he did for my husband.
