I waited an hour before Dr. Smith saw me; he was distracted the entire time and I repeatedly had to ask him to move out of the way of the vision testing mirror. The refraction equipment was smudged and unsanitized and I had to ask him to clean it - why would you try to test vision through a smudged lens? Then he forgot to enter several numbers into both my contacts and glasses prescription, and their staff didn't even bother telling me they didn't take my insurance until after I had already had the appointment, even though they are listed as a provider on my insurance's website, and they took my insurance info at check-in. After two days of wearing the trial contacts they gave me, I can tell that he gave me the incorrect prescription, and I'm going to have to do another eye exam somewhere else after wasting two hours at their office. I wish I could do my job that poorly and get paid a doctor's salary for it.

Horrible customer service. He cancelled my visit after driving in 1 hour from my home and taking a half day off work. I admit I was 10 minutes late due to not being able to bring my grandchild in with me due to their covid restrictions, but i called first and they said i had a 15 minute grace period. The front receptionist line was long. They took all my information and turned me away because Dr. Smith Only observed a 10 minute grace period not a 15 minutes as told when i called.

I never got in to see Mark Smith. He cancelled my appointment even before I met him. Patients should take priority over whatever he had to go do. I tried Dr. Bomberg at Direct Optical and an very happy now. Everyone at Direct Optical seems happy and I recommend them over West.

The billing department is awful. If you have a complaint they tell you they don't have time to talk to you then, that they'll talk to you later. Rude & unprofessional

Always nice and professional. Listens to concerns
