America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

america's best? more like america's worst! my eye exam, choosing frames, and ordering my glasses all went smoothly. no complaints there. however, picking up my glasses two weeks later completely changed my experience. when i tried them on, they were noticeably loose and sliding down my face. not ideal, but i didn't think much of it at the time. i left feeling mostly satisfied. once i was almost home and the sunlight hit my face, i noticed a large internal crack inside one of the lenses. it was not easily visible in dim lighting, but very obvious in natural light. what really bothered me is that two employees had already inspected and cleaned my glasses under bright fluorescent lighting before handing them to me. i find it hard to believe this defect wasn't noticed or overlooked. i immediately turned around and returned to the store and asked for a refund. one employee said the damage was his fault due to using too much heat when prepping the glasses, while another, david who helped me initially said it came from the lab. neither of them seemed surprised, but neither said anything prior, which was concerning. something like this should absolutely be caught before a customer receives their glasses, especially after paying $230 out of pocket for high-index lenses that are supposed to be high quality. i was refunded without any issues, and i do appreciate that everyone was polite and professional. however, kindness isn't what i came for. quality failed. i came here for new, properly made glasses, not defective ones that i had to discover myself. that gives shady. because of this experience, i will not be returning for glasses and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Today was my first visit with America's Best. It definitely will NOT be my last. The customer service from beginning to end was AMAZING. Everything was thorough without being long and drawn out with unnecessary paperwork or long wait times. The receptionist at the front desk was accommodating of a time adjustment I needed at the last minute. The young lady that performed my pre-screening was prompt and had the exam room smelling fresh & clean (that's very important). The doctor was pleasant and didn't make me feel like a "number". And Derek was a complete joy. My experience was the best I've had in years. It's good to see that estsblishments like this exist nowadays.

Very unprofessional. You make appointment only to be called the day before and told your appointment is moved to another day. Then when your original day come you get a call asking if your still coming. Now your confused. Because you moved only for you to be told to come later today. You get there only to be told your appointment was canceled out. Are you serious no apology or nothing. You dont know how a person have to drive only to be canceled out tell a person the grace period ahead of time. So they can make sure they are to you. If your 1 min or 11min late let people know. And have some class when you speak to them. Remember we are paying customers.

The stars are for the company itself. But it be a 5 star for the professionalism Of the staff here in Conyers. Rare to find that. The company on the other hand, I wish I had researched more and just went to my expensive eye doctor. The selection was scarce for their advertising, very misleading. The wait was fine because we took a long time to choose our styles before the appt. The dr was great. Staff was great (surprisingly for this area). We waited a month , when we were told no longer than 2wks for my child's glasses to arrive. And after many reviews I realize that many see with their glasses like seeing through a fish bowl... hard to explain but I understand after trying the glasses on and wondering if the prescription is even correct... I worry its not and though my child says they can see better, I am not convinced its all correct. I would recommend sticking to a real individual doctor's office, not these types of places. Just my opinion. But, in a pinch, it is an option. But the staff. Professional!!!! They also have the nerve to not give you an eye glass case with each pair AND a cleaning cloth. I had to make a fuss about it and did get one cloth and flimsy plastic case.

Very professional staff. I feel they go above and beyond the test to make sure your prescription is right. They are aware of wait times and try their best to accommodate quick wait times.

Terrible customer service!!! Haley at the front was great ,the eye Dr.'s were great! But the staff was terrible the lady that I was told would assist me with finding the right pair of glasses didn't do that at all! She seemed totally in interested in helping me or answering my questions! Just gave me blank and total dry one word responses and just sighed and sat there ! Will definitely never come here again!

The fact of this NOT being convenient.....last time dealing with "AMERICAS BEST", came in for contacts had to come back to get another set(first pair weren't comfortable and wasn't for MY eyes with astigmatism,smh). Once I order contacts I also saw glasses thought I had a deal glasses were only $20 with some of the stuff I was told I needed(spent over $100). I was told I'd get a call and my glasses would be ready around the 27th and contacts two weeks from appointment, contacts came a week early (which was cool,I needed SOMETHING to see),randomly thinking let me call and check on my glasses, I was told my glasses were in and had came in on the 11th(which I wasn't informed on and probably wouldn't of if I didn't call). All in all I'm just unhappy with the experience and customer service, I was NOT contacted and was told I should of received a text but never did, not sure which system is used but some adjustments should be made otherwise it made me feel like I was lied to and I KNOW I didn't get a call or message, I come to pick up and smudges are already on glasses that I have not touched then I asked for a wipe(the kind that normally comes with a new pair of glasses just to be told I can purchase one they don't have any.......this was not giving Americans best.....

This review is just for making an appointment. I went into this location to make an appointment for my son. I was greeted by an employee named Mekal... he was extremely welcoming...friendly and helpful. I appreciate the level of customer service I received from him. I will do a follow up review after my son has his eye exam and picks out his new eyewear
