Tom waited on me. He has zero customer service skills. The first thing he said to me when I said who I was and what I was there for is, we are short-staffed, I will see what I can do. Also, they don't actually have a real eye exam. They use machines only so if you need a normal exam, don't go here. Tom was just short of rude to me when I said I came for a free exam and glasses as stated on their website. I made an appointment ahead of time and drove just short of an hour to be exactly on time. He informed me their eye exam wasn't what I needed. I then said he could get my Rx from September to use and he insisted I need to call the previous Dr and that they only accept emailed Rxs. Due to the lack of encryption, Lens Crafters said they could only fax it. He reached out and took my phone and tried to get them to change their policy. When they wouldn't, he gave them the fax number. He walked away to help someone else and when he returned he asked me if I got the email??? I said no you were supposed to get a fax. He walked over to the printer and said it's not here, they didn't send it yet. I called Lens Crafters back and they confirmed they did indeed send it. While walking away from the printer he said to me well then you can set up my fax. When I went the printer to turn it around, he said it has no telephone line. I told him that it was not the fax then and it must go somewhere else. He kept huffing and puffing and acting as is this is all my fault. I told him he was gaslighting me. At that point we both agreed he was not going to be helping me any further. A few minutes later, a nice young woman (wish I had her name) came out to the desk. I was already on the phone with the Buford location asking them if they receive faxes and if they could receive my Rx and then forward it to the Dawsonville location. During the call, while on hold, the young lady was able to login to the shared fax drive. She found my Rx and assisted me with professionalism and courtesy. Maybe she should train him in that kind of behavior. When I found out he's the boss - I knew I was only ordering my glasses here today out of pure necessity and will NEVER return.

Awesome service and friendly, engaging staff that made things efficiently proceed. Loved talking with Megan and Heather. I would give it five stars, but a massive stain on the carpet in the patient lobby room was slightly unsettling and legitimately made me question getting my exam done at this location. It looks like somebody dragged a body through the lobby.

Best service in choosing an attractive frame that was appropriate for my face in I can't remember when. Thank you Tom! The initial eye test was tolerable thanks to the professional young lady explaining and educating me. I have worn glasses over 45 years now and she taught me things! Thanks for all the help, all the courtesy and all your consideration.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!! GREAT PRODUCTS AND AFFORDABLE PRICES! This was the very first time I've ever had an eye exam and Tom and Heather were so helpful. She explained every machine that they used for the exam and let me know what to expect. The hybrid doctor was very nice and professional, and I felt that the exam was very thorough. After the exam, Tom helped me look for a pair of frames that looked nice on me, and he was honest when they didn't! I really appreciated that. He had the glasses made within the next hour and I was so impressed with the clarity that I felt when I put them on. I only needed them really for being up close at a computer all day, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found that I would be able to wear them as much as I want to because it doesn't affect my far sight. I had such a great experience, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have an eye exam. Thank you to everyone at Stanton Optical for being awesome!

Tom is the man! Super friendly. Came in to see if they could repair some sun glasses and tom did not hesitate to grab them and start fixing them right then and there. When he finished he cleaned them, told me to have an amazing day. Did not charge for fixing anything. Overall great experience and will definitely be coming back.

My experience with Tom at the Dawsonville Georgia location was beyond excellent !!. I needed special attention for my prescription and fast service. Both were met with great care and I will continue to use them for my eye care needs. 5 stars

This was a great experience for myself and my son! Super friendly, extremely helpful and they are HONEST, I've been to a few places where I've asked an opinion as far as the frames on my face and every one i tried on "those look good on you" knowing not every frame shape/size does. But here I was told "these are cute but the shape might be a little too big, try these" and that's what people NEED in my opinion. The honesty and friendliness is incomparable. Not only did they get us in and out with little wait time but my glasses were ready in less than 3 hours! My contacts and son's glasses are expected in less than two weeks. Wearing glasses my entire life I've been to and even worked at an eye office but Stanton Optical is definitely my top pick. I will be recommending them to everyone I can and will continue to use this office! Great job, seriously!

If you need anything at all related to eyeglasses or contacts, then this is absolutely the place to go! I am from out of town and lost my glasses. Tom set me up with an appointment immediately, got a very high tech eye examination and then I had my glasses within an hour! Lens ground onsite!Friendly people, great selection. I know this sounds like hyperbole but also the price sincerely was like half of what I expected it to be. If you don't give these people a try then you might be an idiot LOL
