Eyear 1 Hour Optical

I have been going here for years. My insurance changed and I went to a different eye doctor, who I was not impressed with. I think I may drop the vision insurance and just pay out of pocket so I can stay here. I have always had a good experience, reasonable prices and they have fixed glasses I didn't even buy here for FREE. Once I had an injury to my eye and they squeezed me in. I don't know what's up with the negative reviews. This is the only eye doctor I've ever actually liked and left without feeling totally ripped off.

I'm unable to drive and do my job without glasses,I broke mine and had to get another pair that day,Unfortunately Eyear 1 Hour Optical is the only place I could find to replace glasses in the same day.I spent $250.00 for a pair that the right arm broke on 2 days later,Just from taking them off to go to bed.I went back and was told the pair I bought,Had no warranty or any guarantee of any kind.So here I am out of more money for another pair. The inconvenience of this experience has left me having to visit yet another eye care facility, and buy a new pair of glasses. I would not recommend Eyear to anyone who may be in any similar situation. Please be ware! Be certain to have accurate information in writing before buying glasses from this company.Like many people,I live paycheck to paycheck. The unfairness and setback that this situation has caused because a multi million dollar company, sold me a known defective pair of frames. I hope the salesman can sleep at night.

I had tried to order my contacts online and there was a misunderstanding on my part that I was one month expired. So I was informed to call eyear about it. So I did. I let them know that my husband had just passed away as we have 4 children also together, and that was why I ordered online. There was no compassion whatsoever. They will loose a faithful customer only on the basis of how disrespectful they were to me. I had no clue that it was illegal to reorder contacts because it was expired, I only called to understand why they regected it. Once again I'm only backing away because of disrespect. I'm not using my husband's death to get any benefit. Just understanding, that loosing someone unexpectedly like this is very traumatic. Just shows the lack of regard to the next person so selfish.

A child broke my glasses and the parent paid me for the cost with a cashier's check made out to Eyear Optical. I had purchased my glasses from the Hixson location but thought that I could go to this location since it was much closer. When presented with my issue and the cashier's check, the woman at the desk became very rude and stated that "I don't know you, you just came off of the street, I dont know where this cashier's check even came from since your name isn't even on it!" She said she would have to talk to her manager who never came out to speak with me. When she returned she said "straight up, he won't touch this!" My issue is not that they, "straight up" could not touch the check. They didn't try to help, suggest or offer to call the bank to verify the check. The bigger issue was the woman that made me feel like a criminal for coming in with a cashier's check! All of the information could have been verified. If they had checked, they would have seen that I had even purchased glasses there at one time. Very rude!!! I called Hixson, they will be able to take after verifying. Simple solution!! I have been going there many years, and my encounters are always very pleasant, until now. Never encountered someone like her there before. Very rude woman. Enough to make me change to a different store. She lost ya'll a customer

I purchased glasses at this location a couple of years ago and now due to my insurance I could not return to Eyear optical. I purchased glasses and exam at Eyeglass World. I was having some problems with them and the Optician called Eyear Optical to get some measurements and to ask some questions about those glasses from there. The girl she talked to was very RUDE would not help in any way.The girl from Eyeglass world explained she was an optician the girl from Eyear Optical replied well isn't this NICE just really rude and hateful there was no need of that she could have talked to me and I would have verified who I was but she wouldn't do that either. Even if I could go back to Eyear Optical I DIFFINATELY WOULD NOT.

Had an appointment @1:30 arrived at 1:00 they could not pull up my insurance information, I also didn't have a good but told the lady I was going to make a call. The person I call stated I could look it up so I drove to McDonalds nearby for wifi to pull up my work info on my laptop, I found my insurance information drove back over approximately 1:20. She stated that she would try to squeeze me in she gave away my appointment, I told her I went to make a call and she said, "You Left." She did not wait nor call me to confirm cancelling so my family and I will never be back! "Unprofessional"

I'm a single mother,money is tight.Its Thursday and school begins Monday.My daughter mangles her glasses.I'm panicking. I go in and show the glasses to Steven Staten and ask what he can do to help get frames etc. He walks in back for a few minutes and comes back out with my daughters glasses completely repaired at NO cost . I cannot begin to express my gratitude!!!!What he did for my daughter and I was amazing to say the very least. Penny Norris
