Drs. Holcomb and Associates

I waited until I could give a confident review of this place and now that I have had myself and two of my children's eyes rechecked I can confidently say that those who are giving great reviews don't know what they don't know. ALL 3 of us had COMPLETELY INCORRECT PERSCRIPTIONS! This is huge! My youngest ended up needing such a different prescription he was nauseated after getting his new glasses. You don't understand the levels of incorrect prescriptions. My contacts went from a +1.5 in one eye to a -1.5. I told them I was having issues but they said I would get used to it. Before you ask, yes, these were all different doctors at Holcomb and associates and YES I went to a new (my old) eye dr. Immediately and after my script was wrong I paid again out of pocket to have my kids re-checked only to find the same thing. My insurance company even looked over the case and ALLOWED the new purchase of contacts for my older son based on the new findings. Again. We each went to different doctors in the practice. Just be warned. We only went here because we needed a script quickly for sports for one of my kids so I went ahead and got all of us checked.

I would not recommend Dr. Jennifer Travis. My experience with her was incredibly frustrating. Despite repeatedly explaining that my prescription wasn't working, she simply didn't listen and completely disregarded my concerns. I tried to communicate in different ways, hoping something would make her take me seriously, but nothing changed. After multiple visits, the first time she didn't adjust the prescription at all--it was just suggested I "move the line" which was completely ineffective. The issue persisted, so I had to return again, at some point on my return visits I was sent to the optician, Audrey Moyers, who treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about, completely dismissing my explanation of the problem, because there isn't accountability from the doctor that she isn't getting the prescription right. Eventually, Dr. Travis did change the prescription--but instead of fixing the problem, it made things worse. Now I'm stuck with glasses that don't work and I'm unable to get them remade or refunded. To top it off, Dr. Travis has the audacity to get offended., when i explain that the prescription isn't working. This is completely unacceptable. Not only did she fail to provide a proper solution, but she also made the situation worse. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care. Do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Travis--she is incapable of getting a prescription right and doesn't care about fixing her mistakes.

The staff was pleasant and the doctor was really great. The tests were simple and very quick. But the wait was a long one even though I had an appointment and was early. So do not go unless you have some time to spare.

We have been steady patients of this practice and have high regard for all the doctors and staff. But this past time Dr. Holcomb truly went above and beyond. I brought several of my kiddos in for their annual exam and Dr. Holcomb gathered them all in a room and gave them a wonderful "science/anatomy" lesson on the eye. It was so sweet! Highly recommend!

I found Dr. Holcomb after searching for an optometrist that was near me. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I went to him for an annual eye exam, and he was very informative, kind, and patient with me! He took the time to teach me all the parts of an eye and compared it to my x-rays. He was very detailed, and he took his time to ensure I understood. His staff was just as kind and informative as well. Overall, this was a great experience, and I will definitely be back!

Dr. Travis was fantastic! Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Oct. 2023 Update: I was recently seen by Dr. Dennis Bergen today and he was excellent! Amazing bedside manner, knowledgeable and friendly. Both my daughter and I have come to this practice for several years and have never had a bad experience with any doctor. They are truly A+ in care.

The visit was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff was extremely polite and kept a smile the entire time they spoke. Dr Holcomb is the most thorough eye doctor I have ever been to. He explained each process and the reason for it. I will never go to another eye group. I am certainly satisfied.

Dr Holcomb is incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He really took his time and I never felt like just another patient getting rushed through. I feel so grateful to have found his practice and will be recommending him to everyone I know.
