Eye Care by Design

Dr. Williford and her team at eye care by design are awesome! I have been switching my eye place for a while now trying to find a quality eye place and I believe I have found it. I've lived in the augusta area for a very long time and I never came across an eye physician and her team who are this thorough, kind, and precise with their work until now. I appreciate how kind and how they took their time with me from check in to check out. They make you feel cared for and the only patient they have. Truly truly grateful for how they operate. It's difficult to come by these days. Thank you eye care by design.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Eye Care by Design. They have been completely unprofessional and have not kept a single promise regarding deadlines. It has now been over three weeks, and my husband still has not received his glasses or his contact lenses. Every time we call, we get a different excuse and no real answers. There is no urgency, no accountability, and no follow-through. We trusted them with our eye care needs, but this experience has been nothing but frustrating. I would not recommend this place to anyone until they seriously improve their communication and reliability.

While the staff at this location is very friendly, my experience with their computerized eye doctor appointment system has been incredibly frustrating. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years, since I was 12 years old, but for some reason, they just couldn't get my prescription right. Over the past several months, I've gone through endless rounds of receiving trial contacts, trying them on, and wearing them, only to be see blurry images and have double vision at times. I've received four sets of trial contacts at this point, and each one has failed to meet my vision prescription. I went back today to pick up yet another set, only to be tossed around again. As a military spouse, I've moved frequently and seen many different eye doctors, but I've never encountered this level of frustration when it comes to getting my prescription accurate. On top of everything, their prices are incredibly overpriced, especially considering the poor experience and lack of results. At this point, I've walked away and decided to pay out of pocket for a new office that can actually get my prescription right. I really wanted to give this place a chance, but I'm done and wouldn't recommend. I really would like a full refund

The doctor here is very personable and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've been wearing glasses since I was 3 and I rarely ever find eye clinics that I like. I drive past many closer clinics just to go to this one. Their prices for glasses are a bit high, but I think it's worth it.

I checked their website and it clearly says my insurance covers. I asked twice to be sure, One by phone and one with the front desk lady, if they cover my insurance. Both said yes and so I went through with everything and finished my eye exam later to be told that they don't cover my insurance and that I had to pay out of pocket.

My appointment was perfect. The team was quick, efficient and very friendly! I forgot the name of the technician but she was amazing and explained the entire process to me, while also answering all of my questions. Tori was also so helpful and took the time to gather pricing and insurance benefits for me. I was greeted immediately with a smile and the wait time was less than five minutes (with an appointment). I would 100000% recommend this place to friends and family.

Do not give these folks your phone number unless you want to be harassed non stop. I already asked them twice to remove my number from their automated call list and they just keep calling.

Fantastic establishment! Everyone was amazing and I learned so much about my eyes! They explained everything so thoroughly!
