Akstein Eye Center

So today I called my insurance company looking for an eye doctor and was referred with a lot of options so o clock on Dr. Akstein so before I call I like to review the reviews and decide for myself now some was good and some wasn't so i followed my mine and said let me give them a call and I did so in the process of making a appointment the representive was nice and respectful of making my appointment but what really stood out she ask me was I experiencing any pain etc and which I was so she said can you make it in today around 3:15 and I said sure I got there around 3:05 and was called in around 4:15 which wasn't bad and i couldn't complain so I seen Dr. Akstein and he was so nice respectful he was very concern about my vision and told me something that my other doctor didn't tell me about skipping my meds also double check my eyes and I was scheduled for surgery within two weeks I'm very glad I didn't judge a book off someone else opinion so I'm locked in o say this to say you have to see for yourself also the two ladies at the front desk was respectful and very polite and interact with me we as people have to learn to be patient because doctors see a lot of peoples and everybody have different reasons of seeing them rushing gets you no where so from my point of view I say check them out

Dr. Akstein is The Greatest Ophthalmologist in the Metro Atlanta area!!! He truly cares for his numerous diverse patients. I had cataract surgery a week ago and I Thank God for Dr.Akstein. He's a master in his profession and I am grateful to know him and his diligence to help everyone. He shared with me that a lot of doctors will not accept the patients he services. He said he doesn't do it for the money, but he's abundantly blessed. I pray God impresses upon the heart of another like minded ophthalmologist to help him, because he has so many patients. NO REAL Customer service anymore. So, I was sent to this eye center from sos. I had to cancel my appointment a few times. The black lady with the red hair was super ugly, mean, and down right nasty to me for canceling my appt. Needless to say, I won't be using this company ever.

I'm so disappointed that my primary doctor referred me to this place for my stye. Some of the staff are so unprofessional, the waiting times are ridiculous more than 2 hours for anything. I believe Mr. Akstein is the only eye doctor there. Mr. Akstein could use some more professional bedside manner. No written instructions for aftercare. Talks so fast and just rushed everything after you've been waiting for so long. If you know another doctor please post here

My son first time going to get his eye check was good . We got him a pair of glasses but a couple months later he broke them so I called and they said that he could get a replacement with his insurance so I called in February to order have them order the replacement and they said they will call me in 2-3 weeks when they come in ! So 3 weeks pass and no one reaches out to me so I call and they say that they couldn't see anything so they will leave a message to the manger to call me back because the manger is the only one who can see if they came in so I'm like okay ! I waited a week and she never called ! Called again and I left another message ! I left like 4 messages and and we are already in April and till this date no one has called me back ! I told them if the manger doesn't call me back then who is the manger boss and they said the doctor so I told them to let me speak to him and they said he doesn't know anything about glasses ! So at this point I gave up and have looked for another location ! Because no one ever has called me back ! So unprofessional!

This is the worst eye center I've ever been to. I see why they have two stars, surprised they have that. I waited over a month for my daughter's glasses and still have not received them. Every time I go it's something. I work 7a-7p and at this center you can only pick up glasses on Fridays. Yes I went on break a couple of times but you can't just go to pick them up. You have to sit and wait. Well today 3/22/2024 I go up there again and there is a list of eight people in front of me. I'm over it!! I also had an eye appointment with a one hundred dollar copay. Then they told me to come back to pick out frames I paid another sixty five. The test and glasses came out to over 400 dollars. Never again!! I will not recommend!! Save your TIME and MONEY!! The appointments were not included with the 400 dollars by the way!

Completely unprofessional! I requested an appointment a month in advance and a day before my appointment they sent a message that it was "declined". A day? Come on! Now to search for a different eye doctor and hope they're not too far on appointments. What a waste of time!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst dr. ever. He was so rude, mean, and hateful to my mother. We drove a hour and 41 mins from home to see him and he was the worst. The wait time was horrible. Her appointment was at 10:45 and we left there at 3:00. Don't worry you don't have to do her surgery because I will not bring her back there. He has the worst bedside manners I have ever seen in a dr. He got all into her personal business that had nothing to do with her eyes. The lady at the front desk was very nice though.
