North Fulton Eye Center-Cumming location
Great staff! Very friendly and pleasant. Naomi has excellent communication skills as she kept me informed of each test as she completed my surgery pre-op for cataract surgery. Dr. Snellings is very down to earth and cordial. She really focuses on her patients and spent a generous amount of time with me. She answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. She is a genuine person that delivers quality service.
From the ease of scheduling an appointment to the friendly staff, my entire experience at North Fulton Eye Center was great. I was seen right on time, which I truly appreciate, and Dr. Snelling's bedside manner made the visit even better. She was professional, personable, and took the time to answer all my questions.
I highly recommend North Fulton Eye Center to anyone looking for quality eye care!
I saw Dr. Lauren Snellings last Wednesday after waking up the week before with double vision, a weeklong stay in hospital with fluctuating high blood pressure, and being sent home with no answers. She was the most caring physician, listening to every symptom and then conducting various tests, studying my records from the hospital and lastly giving me an almost certain diagnosis. She arranged for bloodwork at hospital when I left that afternoon, put me on a high dose of Prednisone to prevent blindness in my right eye, arranged for a biopsy at St. Joseph/Emory and referred me to a Rheumatologist. Did I mention that this was the first time I had see her! I will forever sing her praises!!
This is a generous two star review because Dr. Susanne Hewlett is personable. After that I was very disappointed in the North Fulton Eye Center. The office is not professional in any way with half of the waiting room devoted to an Eye Glass counter and walls of frames. As the young lady at the reception desk took my paperwork she asked if I wanted to buy "eye drops" to dilate my eyes"? After an an eye examination by a technician Dr. Hewitt performed a more detailed examination and told me I had a small "broken blood vessel in my left eye." and severe cataracts.
I had photos of the eyes (which I was charged for) why? I have Medicare and excellent secondary insurance.
I had no treatment and was referred to Georgia Retina many miles away. From my Insurance Provider list I chose an Ophthalmologist near me and now am referred by that "eye specialist" to a second Ophthalmologist many miles away. It is the "referral game."
I left the North Fulton Eye Center no better than when I entered and had no treatment. Why was my "blood vessel" issued not treated by an "eye specialist" an Ophthalmologist at North Fulton Eye Center?
My first visit to the Roswell office. The facility is very clean, Tony made the testing easy, he has a wonderful demeanor. Met with Peyton for scheduling and she is the very best. I had spoken to her over phone previously, but she is a gem in person.
Yesterday I took my 79 year old husband, who has been battling stage for colon cancer for 10 year for a blurry left He has seen Dr. Hewitt my number of times and she knows who he is and what he is dealing with. When it came to the suggestion that he might need cataract surgeon surgery. I pulled her out of the room and advised her as to what his life expectancy may be instead of offering me some degree of consultants she blankly looked at me and said, I will talk to his oncologist about that and simply dismissed me. What a cold, cold person to speak with a new upcoming widow without some sort of kindness. I cannot tell you the disrespect I've earned from her and shame I feel for the way she took a very personal issue and turned it into a medical happenstance. God forbid one I've heard loved ones don't go through any kind of trauma in their life and need something other than a medical comments. I would never recommend Dr. Hebert to any person I know. We will be back because it is my husband's cover his own, but after that, she will never see me again.
Very upset - I have retinopathy in both eyes which requires ongoing treatment. My insurance changed, so I had to find a new specialist as soon as possible. NF Eye Center's website states they handle Diabetic Eye Disease, and I advised when I made the appointment that I had retinopathy and needed an ophthalmologist that treats retinopathy. They confirmed that Dr. Snelling was who I should see. I had the eye exam, and the Dr. told me she needed to refer me to an outside provider who handles retinopathy treatments as soon as possible. I was charged $340 for something they said they handle but do not. Essentially, this appointment was a waste of time and money. I think it is unconscionable that they advertise that they handle it, but don't actually treat it. Who would think to actually ask, do you actually treat what you advertise you treat? I now have to pay the outside provider to do the same exam in order to get treatment.
Ima so pleased with Dr. Lauren Snelling and the staff at North Fulton Eye Center. Dr. Snelling did cataract surgery on both eyes in two different surgeries, with excellent results. She and her staff have been meticulous in their care for me, and I highly recommend Dr. Snelling.
