As a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, I live by Honor, Courage, Commitment, and Integrity. I served our country faithfully for eight years and made sacrifices that many will never understand.
During my visit, office staff assumed my name solely based on the color of my skin. and I quote "You must be Edgar" That kind of prejudice is completely unacceptable in any and all settings.
My wife was present, heard the interaction, and was shocked herself -- this was neither a misunderstanding nor an exaggeration. After that I documented the entire encounter and have recordings to substantiate my experience.
The doctor was rude, frequently interrupted me, rushed through my exam, ignored medical and military documents I brought, keep rolling his eyes at me and astonishingly, did not even know my age. The xenophobe didn't even have the courage to make eye contact.
VETERANS: The fight against evil injustice continues. If you are considering this office for medical care, C&P exams, or other services, be aware of what you may encounter. SEMPER FI.
Google Review - Dr. Paul J. Glass, MD | 2256 Northlake Pkwy, Suite 205, Tucker, GA 30084
On April 24th, 2024, I arrived at Dr. Paul J. Glass's office for a scheduled VA C&P eye exam. Upon entering the lobby, I witnessed an extremely unprofessional and concerning situation. Dr. Glass, who was sitting at the front desk with the receptionist, was openly and audibly discussing the previous veteran patient--disclosing elements of their medical condition and voicing strong complaints about veterans "faking injuries." He expressed frustration about being "just there to record data" and made several disparaging comments that could be clearly heard by at least three patients in the waiting area, myself included.
As a 27-year U.S. Army veteran attending a VA C&P exam for legitimate service-connected eye issues, this was deeply disrespectful and disheartening. Despite that, I maintained my composure and waited over 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. Once I was called back, I discovered that Dr. Glass himself would be conducting the exam. He offered no explanation of what was being done, proceeded with tests abruptly, and reiterated that he was only there "to record data." When I asked questions for clarity, I received vague or dismissive responses.
Though I had been advised that my eyes would be dilated (which required my wife to take off work and drive me), that procedure never occurred. The exam lasted no more than 15 minutes, and I left the appointment unclear on what was evaluated. When I requested a business card to follow up with QTC, Leidos, and the VA, the interaction became visibly contentious. My wife, who is a healthcare provider herself, asked a few clarifying questions, which were met with curt or evasive replies.
This review is not just about my individual experience but is intended to raise awareness for other veterans and patients--civilian or otherwise--who may rely on compassionate, professional care. When undergoing exams that could significantly affect health decisions or disability determinations, no patient should feel disrespected, dismissed, or prejudged. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously by both Dr. Glass's office and the networks that continue to refer patients there.

I have been desperate to find a doctor that will take my insurance to check my sons eyes & even tho I did not like the service on the phone , I still decided to book because I really want to figure out what's going on with my sons eyes. I get there to my appointment 20 minutes early , greet the receptionist , & she simply glances at me then continues to write whatever she was writing. Does not say hi , does not ask for my insurance card , does not tell me to sign in. Nothing. There was a note pad so I grabbed the pen & wrote my son's name & while doing so my son sees the door is open & he runs in. I go in after him & bring him back to the waiting area & someone , who I assume is the doctor , looks at me & removes the chair that is holding the door open & closes it. The lady then slides the window & hands me a clip board to fill out but I give it back to her to let her know I would like to cancel the appointment & she asks me why. I told her I didn't like their energy & that I did not like how she didn't even acknowledge me when arriving. She tried saying she didn't say anything because she didn't have time to since my son ran to the back yet I had time to write down his first & last name before that happening ? I am desperate to find a good doctor for my son but if that's how you're going to treat a first time patient ? No thank you.
Attention to detail, abundant patience, and a calming presence, Dr. Glass is by far the best opthalmologist I have encountered. His office manager Amy, is insurance savvy, as well.
