I purchased insurance for my glasses through vision works. Unbelievably, when throwing trash away at my apartment complex, a hanger caught the side of my glasses and launched them into the trash compactor - which compacts automatically. I called Vision Works 11/17 to ask about my insurance, and I was told it is not covered- unless I have something "tangible" like the frame or the lens, they will not be replaced. What an absolute scam- absurd. I asked the manager if she saw the absurdity if we are being logical and not just an employee of Vision Works to which she replied " I have no opinion". You are a human being and that is impossible. Literally our whole basis for existence is viewing our surroundings, interpreting the data, and forming an opinion. This place will never get my business again- decency and morality should be a thing even in 2025- your policy is irrefutably gross. Editing to respond to the business commentary- no need to alert leadership- leadership was the issue. I advise everyone to go to LensCrafters 0.4 miles down the road in the parking lot for Northlake Mall. Not only were my glasses cheaper, the facility cleaner, and staff competent and friendly, they measured me for my glasses using specialized technology that utilizes images of your eyes and adjusts the frames to the size of your head and exactly where you want them to rest. Additionally, they were up front about their insurance policy- what it would cover, what it would not, and mentioned this is not their first time receiving a client from VisionWorks. Losing one client may not hurt corporate, but based upon your reviews, it ain't looking good.

The posted hours are 9am-7pm, but when I arrived at 12:15pm, the door was locked. I could see staff inside assisting others, but no one came to acknowledge me or explain the situation. After waiting outside for 15 minutes, another patient kindly let me in. I really like the doctor here, but the front desk staff could improve in terms of communication, teamwork, and overall workflow.

Experience in the store and with the doctor has been fine. My new frames from here need constant adjusting, but the store has been locked on multiple occasions during their posted hours. There has never been a notice on the door. This has happened to me both in the morning and in the evening, so I'm not sure what's going on with their scheduling. Very frustrating trying to plan stops around work without knowing when they will actually be open.

After a month I sat on my glasses had to pay for another frame but I tried to add on insurance and was told I couldn't get it. So disappointed. But great service she suggested everything except insurance. I was told and paid for protection if they broke the lens but not the frame. 1st time it was 200 or more then 160+ to replace the lens.

The retail supervisor Almaz kept trying to force me to get the most expensive frames. My choice was my personal style and that should be respected. I opted to pay for my frames on a different day and she said "so you didn't want anything today". Like lady I needed an eye exam and glasses. I just want to make my payment at a later date. That was rude. I was quoted THREE different prices and that made that experience seem like a scam. When I finally got my frames, they were so crooked. How do you dispense crooked frames???

I've had a very frustrating experience with the optometrist here. While in the store, she seemed extremely bothered by the simple questions I asked about prescriptions and lenses for my child. Later, when I called to gather more information before returning, she was again rude, rushed me off the phone, and I even overheard her complaining about me in the background while I was still on the line. I don't remember her name, but this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable especially when dealing with parents who are just trying to understand their child's vision care. Patients deserve respect and clear communication, not dismissiveness and frustration.

Visionworks cares about my needs and to see that I understand what I am paying for through their language assisted video relay device and the translator was using American Sign Language to communicate with me. It all went well.
