Advanced Eyecare Optical of Oconee

I have been to several Eye Doctors in my 60 years on this globe! Advanced Eyecare Optical of Oconee has been the best experience I've had as it pertains to eye care! The staff are incredibly welcoming, professional and knowledgeable! The Doctor is a great, easygoing, wonderful guy! I highly recommend them to all!

Dr Nelms was fantastic and the staff too! They really helped my Mom feel comfortable and cared for. So happy we found them.

Excellent doctor and staff. I am a long time patient and I experienced some vision disturbances in one eye. I have issues with my other eye so obviously I was concerned about this episode that lasted for a quite a while. I called the office and they got Dr. Nelms on the phone immediately. He assessed the situation and said come in right away. They worked me in and did an examination in no time. This is the kind of doctor and office you need for your eyecare. They are patient oriented, very competent and will take the time to answer any questions you may have. None of the corporate medicine with metrics driving your time with your doctor in his office. How refreshing! All turned out well and I think he was happier than me. Thanks to Dr. Nelms and the staff.

Dr Nelms is incredible!!! My daughter is special needs and her eye exams are always very difficult, to the point where we've been told elsewhere that they can't complete the exam. Our visit with Dr Nelms yesterday was just as difficult and he didn't give up and was so wonderful and gentle with Lacey!!! We are so grateful to have found him in our community and highly recommend

Dr Nelms is the best eye doctor I have ever seen. He is thorough, patient, and explains all tests. His office staff is also great. I recommend them to everyone!

I highly recommend Advanced Eyecare! Since moving to Watkinsville in 2018, this has been one of the best eye care experiences I've had. They were able to fit me in the same day when I ran out of contacts unexpectedly. They even took me on as a new patient the same day so I could complete my eye exam and order new contacts. Dr. Nelms is both knowledgeable and personable. The front staff is exceptionally organized, which I really appreciate. Every visit leaves me with no unanswered questions, and the office is always clean and well-maintained. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice to anyone!

Wonderful experience. Check-in was fast and easy, pre-exam with nurse was thorough and she relayed all the info to the doctor accurately, and Dr. Nelms was great!--knows his stuff, was careful to explain everything, and wasn't rushed. Easy decision to make him our family's eye doctor.
