Eye Center of Hawai'i

Both my son and I have been treated at the Bennett Eye Institute (Formerly the Hawaii Cataract & Laser Institute - Maui) for the past several years. We have always received incredible care and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Dr. Pham (previously) and now Dr. Danforth, all of the nurses, and Shawna at the reception desk have taken excellent care of both of us. I would highly recommend this practice for your eye care needs, both for the professional care and conduct as well as their friendliness and welcoming attitudes.

Incredible team and Dr Danforth was amazing. I was able to be seen for same day urgent need appointment. Service was awesome and very reasonable cost. Would not hesitate to recommend.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Pham and her staff, they are all so kind and helpful. I was seen at their clinic (Hawaii Cataract & Laser Institute) in March. I was experiencing some light flashes and increased floaters in my left eye. My optometrist said I need to be seen immediately at an eye clinic for a possible detached retina. I basically walked into Dr. Pham's clinic without an appointment and I was registered and seen within the hour! Because of some bleeding in my eye she was unable to determine if the retina was detached, so she saw me back regularly until the bleeding was resolved and she could determine that my retina was ok. I felt like I was in good hands during my several appointments and am thankful that they were there when I needed them!

Waiting room is nice, and there was free shrimp cocktails, but hours and millimeters are both scientific units of measurement. I'm hoping they're more careful with the later when it's time to make precision cuts with the laser beam...

I experienced flashes of light and floaters in my right eye. I knew this was a symptom of retinal tear or detachment and called the clinic. Within 15 minutes I was there getting checked. I am so happy with Dr. Danforth and the staff. After the scans and tests were done he diagnosed the problem and answered my questions and scheduled a follow up.

UNBELIEVABLE is the only word I can think of to describe Dr. Chang and his staff! We are all so lucky to have him on the island and will go one further in that I would encourage anyone in the WORLD to come to Maui for his treatment. He performs as a professional but talks to you as a friend. My sincerest thanks and Aloha Dr. Chang!!!!

I am impressed with this facility. Short wait times, pleasant staff and doctors. Highly recommended!
