INCOMPETENCE. WEIRD. CONFUSED. I would question Dr Valeria Castro's competence in full measures. Now, this happened this past January. Due to a combination of eye conditions of presbyopia, astigmatism and cataracts, I've been increasingly light sensitive and the use of mildly tinted glasses has proven to provide comfort; so I use them. POINT TO NOTE: Her office has been issuing these to me well over two years. Now, I work at this office full of bright lights and curious folks who keep asking, "Why do you use tints?" And, I'm like, "These are prescriptions.." It became overbearing that HR asked to get some Doctor's note which explains its use and this brought me to Dr Valeria. First of all, to land a meeting over the report proved herculean as she insisted that I undergo a full eye exam before issuing any. I did. After the exam, my conditions were much the same but alas, she wouldn't write any note. Upon pressure from me, she said, " I, myself do have astigmatism and I don't have any need for a tint glasses..." HELLOO...What an insensitive and unprofessional thing to say? You've astigmatism but you don't have cataracts. Do you? I was blown dumb that I couldn't argue. While leaving, one of the guys up front even downplayed the severity of my condition albeit ignorantly. He said, "Cataracts is like birthmark. Don't worry, it will go away on its own." I was alarmed. Dude, cataracts is one of the leading causes of blindness across the world. Eventually, I got my note from an eye surgeon after much ado and when I recounted my ordeal, his jaws dropped.

I had a wonderful experience from the time I was scheduled an appointment to the end of the process! The front staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tech was very friendly. The optometrist made me feel very comfortable during the entire process! I picked up my glasses, I am very pleased with them! I will now go to VisionWoks instead of LensCrafters.

I took the day off to make it to this appointment. I specifically told them my issues over the phone, and I was assured by the front desk staff that this was something the doctor was capable of diagnosing and prescribing eye drops for. I walk in. Everyone is friendly of course, no problem there. But immediately the doctor comes and asks what my concern is and I explain it. They tell me they don't do anything more than prescribe glasses. I don't need glasses. Not a zero star because they were all friendly. But honestly I'm leaving the review because you have to make it clear to front desk that the place is just for glasses, because I asked very specifically and told them I wanted an appointment NOT for glasses, but for eye pressure and redness. It was unfortunately a great waste of time and now I have to take a day off tomorrow to visit the another doctor for the situation.

The place is always clean, and the team at the desk is always welcoming. I was not there just like a number. I had my eye exam, I grabbed the frames I wanted and proceed to check out. It was seamless my visit. I have been coming here for 6 years almost and never had an issue with the personnel.

The services were excellent from the being to the end. The young ladies at the front desk were very friendly,informative. The doctor as well was patient. The experience was delightful.

The store location is great which is where I mostly do my shopping and dining. Cinthia was friendly , so helpful and patient. I felt at ease taking my time browsing; no feeling of being rushed. I liked the variety of frames offered at a reasonable price.

Great experience compared to other location went to last year. Everyone so helpful and knowledgeable Dr Castro is awesome as well as everyone at Berwyn location. Definitely will refer.

The staff and Dr. Castro were overwhelmingly kind, competent, and just plain rock stars at their jobs. The last 2 eye doctors I have gone to, not Visionworks, gave me the same prescription for my contacts despite me noting a blurriness in my left eye. I always assumed it was an astigmatism. Dr. Castro did a thorough exam, updated my prescription and BAM! I can see clearly! Plus I can't even feel the contacts. I definitely will be returning in the future.
