Dr. Johnson & staff was/is amazing!!!! I went in for blurred vision & he found quite a bit happening with my eye sight. His bedside manner is top tier. He cares about his patients & is very knowledgeable about eue care & diabetes. Thank you

I can't recall how many years my family and I have been patients of Dr. Ansel but it's been close to 10 years. I was referred to him by my mom after getting new glasses from another Dr who didn't take as great care as Dr. Ansel and his team. After reading some of the negative reviews it seems like their experience was with a totally different facility because I've always had a great experience with his office. I own a professional business as well. We all have our challenges from time to time. I believe when you have professionals like Dr. Johnson that step in when there is a service issue and offer a resolution, that shows they care about and customer satisfaction. This scenario came into play for me a few years ago when I tried to refill an old frame with a new prescription. The temple on my frames broke during the process. Dr. Ansel took care of the issue and I was very hsppy with the results. I don't support Dr. Johnson because he's black...I support him because he's an excellent doctor! I go there for his expertise and the solid team he's put in place. I don't believe they are transactional as one of the comments stated. Dr. Ansel and his team care about their patients. They have awesome frames and I always walk out seeing better than when I came in! These are my latest frames and I absolutely love them! Thank you Dr. Johnson!

I had been searching for a young black optometrist with no luck and came upon Dr. A Johnson via google. Not young but noticeably attentive and thorough. The entire staff was friendly from entry to exit. The office is spacious and they are cleaning between clients along with social distancing.Dr. even discussed medical factors to watch out for that may trigger eye problems. I suggest you give him a try

Have been a client of The Vision Salon for more than ten years .I've always have had pleasant experiences with the doctors and optical staff. The doctors are very thorough,so thorough that when I complained of eye pain and headaches in 2011,Dr. Johnson ,in addition to running some tests ,also referred me to a retinal specialist ,who discovered that I had an ocular condition that usually isn't diagnosed until it is too late to save one's eyesight. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Johnson and the specialist ,Dr . Calvin Grant for my eyesight and ability to maintain my quality of life.I have referred others to The Vision Salon over the years and have always received positive feedback from those who have taken the opportunity to get thorough eye care in a client-focused environment.

I called to make an eye exam appointment, because I need new eyeglasses. The young lady who answered the office phone, asked if I was a new patient, which I responded that I was. She placed me on hold and never returned. I hung up, waited about 15 minutes and called back. No answer. I left a voicemail stating that I would like to make an appointment and left my phone number. No one has called. I guess the doctor does not need or want new patients. I was attempting to patronize a black business, but it's obvious I'll have to go elsewhere. There are numerous practices in the downtown area where I work that accepts my insurance or where I can use my Flex Spending funds. There's no need for anyone to respond to this review, as I see they respond to other reviews. I will take my business elsewhere. Thanks.

Excellent service! Had a foreign body removed from my eye and it was painless!

So unprofessional never again they only care about your money ,horrible service..

The customer service is terrible. Had been coming here for years and finally gave up. Never again.
