The doctors are excellent. However, the eyeglass staff is unacceptable. I ordered new lenses for my frames, and 28 days later I'm still being told it will be "7-10" business days. Needless to say I canceled my order and have since changed to a new office.

The drs are good but the receptionists are so rude I had to stop going there. I rather drive to Manteno then ever be spoken to that way again it was countless times not just me other members in my family were also spoken to like we were stupid. I don't know who does the hiring but I do not recommend this place at all. Life is hard enough the last thing someone needs is a receptionist who is not able to help. I wish I had recorded my conversation in person and on the phone. Now they keep trying to bill for me 25$ from my last visit that I had to walk out of because of how rude they were being I was shaking so angry. They will never give a dime of my money ever again. Anyone that knows my name knows I'm a kind person. I deal with neurologists and several other specialist and drs and they were by far the rudest. Every single time. I feel bad for the drs that are probably losing business it's really gone down hill over the years due to snippy workers. If you hate your job so much get a new one!

The last few times I've gone I'm told one price one day and then next time it's more than what I was told. Constant misinformation that ends with me having to pay more money than what I was told. I have eye insurance but here it feels like I'm paying out of pocket for everything and it's a never ending bill. So the most recent time I went I got a contact eye exam and ordered new contacts. I asked the lady at the front desk how much all of it would be and that I'll pay the whole amount that day. I paid 141$ that day and then a month later I get a bill for $40 with no explanation as to what. When I called the first time no one answered and then they called me back the next day and explained that it was for the eye exam even though I get a free one every year with my insurance. Then my dad calls to explain this to them, which granted he was upset on the phone. Then next thing I know I'm getting a call back from the lady just of her complaining about that call even though I explained I was not aware he was calling them nor did I tell him too, yet i still apologized for the call. The lady continued to rant very upset with me about with no real purpose of the call which upset me even farther as it felt very unprofessional all around and still paid the $40 even though they failed to tell me the whole amount at the appointment and I think it's ridiculous that I had to be responsible and answer for their failure and unprofessionalism and I will not be coming back due to these consistent issues.

I visited Main Street Opticians this week and saw Dr. Danahey, he gave me a very thorough exam as Glaucoma runs in my family. He took retinal photos so I was able to see the health of my eyes and I've never had that done before. Everyone in the office was very friendly and overall a great experience.

Highly recommend getting contacts here! The staff are all super friendly, the optician is a very cool guy and Meghann had an amazing amount of patience and support when I was learning to put contacts in! Thank you guys.

Do not visit this place of "business" if you value your time, money, and sanity. - Closes early before stated hours of operation - Does not answer phone while open (had to call 4 times!) - Rude customer service attempting to schedule for an appointment as if I was "annoying" the receptionist - Expensive ordering contacts (~$65 more than ordering online)

Normally I don't have a problem with the doctors I see I used to see Dr. VanDehy. But recently as of today when I called in to make my eye appointment for myself and my oldest son I was informed by a member of his staff that I am no longer able to be a patient of the doctor that I was seeing for years due to billing issue. Now come to find out the issue wasn't in insurance but it was in the fact that the office no longer wanted to deal with me as a patient because they were unwilling to give me wiggle room to pay a remaining balance owed. I have received wonderful service from this office up through the years until now when I was trying to speak with the office manager and the office manager picked up and hung up the phone then when I called back someone must have just automatically hung the phone up and did not bother to address my concern or complaints with a particular person who gave me misinformation in the office so I am writing this review to let others know how their office does. Go to this office at your own risk but it's a good office it's just you may have time of issues with certain staff members

My wife made an appointment for me when her and my daughter were in the office for their appointments. Two weeks later I showed up for my appointment on time, actually 45 minutes early. They tell me that they don't have me down for an appointment that day or any other day. So after a discussion between me and the office girl. They can't get me in for another lengthy period of time. Just bad business. My whole family goes there, but not anymore.
