America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

The staff members at the 205 W. 87th Street location in Chicago, Illinois are very rude and unprofessional. They give a bad reputation to the brand America's Best. I arrived on time for my appointment. The receptionist was as okay at first. As I waited for my eye exam, the technician was very unprofessional. I could hear in the back calling someone a fool and saying how she couldn't get any help around there. I didn't know that she would be doing the exam . When she called me back and started the exam, I asked her if she was the optometrist ( I had gotten glasses there a few years before and the doctor was very good). Her reply to me was. "I'm a technician". So I asked, "Will I be able to see the optometrist today ". Her next reply was delivered with the nastiest attitude you can imagine, "You came here for an eye exam, right?" At that point I told her that I would be going somewhere else. As I was leaving, I stopped at the reception desk again and asked the receptionist, if the optometrist does the eye exams there. By that time the technician had walked up to the front and interrupted our conversation by saying, " I told her yes". My response was, "No you didn't. She proceded to try and argue back and forth with me that she did answer me with, "yes" .Saying, " I told her you see the technician first, then you see the optometrist. Of course that was a lie to try to cover her rude behavior. The receptionist then condescendingly repeated the technician's cover up lie. At that point I told them to take my information out of the system and I left. I have contacted the corporate office to lodge a formal complaint. There was no reason for a customer to be treated in such an unprofessional way. I wish I had read the other reviews before booking my appointment there. Apparently, this is an ongoing problem. Again, this location is giving the America's Best brand a bad name.

Dr. Sandy was amazing. She took my concerns seriously she was very thorough with explanations. She gave me options for treatment and was a refreshing touch to this local Optometry center. Her personality was super pleasant.

If I could give this business a negative rating I would. DO NOT GO HERE. They are extremely unprofessional, with minimal knowledge about the optical industry. Very poor customer service was demonstrated by the staff and customers deserve BETTER. I will drive 30 minutes to go to the next location with better service moving forward.

Dr. Sandy is best. Her examinations were very thorough. The way she explained the results of the exam were detailed and on a level that I could understand. I would recommend everyone to this particular America's best office.

Picked up my glasses off my dresser table to take them in and get straightened. I noticed they had a film on them I didn't know where from or what it was. Woman tells me that'll never come off. It did and she hands me back my glasses. I said thank you but I need you to straighten them out to this temple is bent. She said Oh no I don't want to be responsible if they break. I said please I can't see straight with them everything is all crooked. She said she wasn't going to be responsible I said no problem. I know glasses look frail but there they are welded. She brought them back they were still bent. She told me they can't be fixed the metal is rotten. Lol I could not believe what I just heard. Glasses are made of non-corrosive metal or have non-corrosive coatings. Her manner typical of this neighborhood. Arrogant and rude and very badly trained. Someone from the company responded below, and they're asking what city and state and location, and the information is right there in front of them. I rated a particular store

I had an appointment at America's Best for 5:50 and unfortunately walked in 5 minutes late due to terrible traffic at that time of day. As soon as I arrived, the representative loudly said "you're late" and made no effort to assist or accommodate me in any way. I completely understand being late is not ideal, but I would expect more professionalism and courtesy instead of being spoken to in such a dismissive manner. Very disappointing experience.

dr sandy is amazing!! so great at what she doesn't and it's obvious that she enjoys it also! very understanding and patient :)

I was so nervous and Dr. Sandy was so nice! Didn't feel pressure from the staff either to buy glasses when I just want an exam (I kinda already have a look)
