A friend recommended Dr. Lewicky when I couldn't anymore ignore my need for cataract surgery. On my first visit the good doctor informed me that, since my situation involved astigmatism, a bit more than the basic treatment would be necessary. I would need toric lenses and laser-assisted surgery, but that this process would allow him to adjust the post-op vision to near or far or somewhere in between and what would be my preference? I'm a professional musician and for years had needed to wear glasses to read music, so preferred result would be best sight at about two feet. His response: if that's really what I wanted, he'd go for it. Went for it he did and I haven't needed my glasses to read music since; they are now relegated to only being used for driving and theater movies. Thanks doc--you are the best.

Dr. Lewicky is the best! He's done both my cataracts and I'm very happy. It can be a bit of a wait at his office sometimes, but he's worth it. We know someone who has worked with a lot of opthomlogists in Chicago and he thinks Dr. Lewicky is the best in Chicago. I agree.

I waited too long; and took care of people who were called after me. Last time was the worst, I waited over one and a half hour for him, to see me for less than 5 minutes, and they called me because I asked if they forgot about me, and they made me wait again in the room where he was going to take care of me. It was terrible, it's not the first time, but this was the worst, terrible!

About Andrew Lewicky, M.D.

Dr. Andrew O. Lewicky attended Oberlin College and received the Bachelor of Science and M.D. degrees from Northwestern University. Following medical school, Dr. Lewicky completed internship and specialty residency training in ophthalmology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center and the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary where he served as Senior Resident. After this training Dr. Lewicky served for two years in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps, holding the rank of Lt. Commander.
