Note: This is a bonefide-unsolicited posting! First , Our family has been going to this incredible optometrist for over 25 years, and its founder Dr. Crompton has always been a pure joy to work with. For the past 3 or so years, he took on a new Dr. , as his partner, Dr. John Holicka has retired. His new partner, Dr. Zack Askar is truly " 1 in a million! He has brought in the highest technology into this practice, and he performs an incredible and complete testing process to assure that you will always be informed as to the conditions of your eyes and any ongoing changes to your vision!! I am a senior, but I am always asking questions about his processes, and I just recently was fitted for new glasses, and when I drove home, it was unbelievable how much better I was able to see and assess everything that I was seeing; not to say that my eyesight wasn't good before, but with my high degree of astigmatism and nearsightedness, I really thought I was seeing okay, but last Monday, my journey home was " Mind Boggling "! On another note, my oldest son (30's), has been having some major medical issues, had seen a litany of specialists, all to No Avail! Dr. Askar, after doing his complete and excellent battery of tests, detected an issue from behind his eyes-that being unusually high amount of pressure , which led him to recommend a series of new tests, to be ordered by our GP doctor! After almost an entire year of guessing and worrying, thanks to Dr. Zack, my son now has the opportunity to finally be properly tested to ascertain what is behind the symptoms that are symptomatic of MS, Parkinson's, and other diseases! So , if you're seeking out an eye doctor that does more than just fit you for new eyewear, you really have to meet Dr. Zack Askar Not only is he brilliant, but he's extremely patient, very kind , and I've never seen him without a smile! I really appreciate the care the doctors and staff put into patient care here. I started going here a few years ago and its the only doc app I do not dread going too. Its a breathe of fresh air to actually be seen in the sense of as a person not just a pt.they are trying to get rid of to move onto the next. I wish all my docs was like this place (where can I get a primary like this????). Ive refereed my family and friends here as well. My parent just went this week and can not stop gushing over how great this place was.

Genuine and caring folks worth going out of your way to see for checkups and products. Dr. Askar was impressively thorough and sufficient reason to become a regular. The opticians are great...honest and helpful. The brands on offer and reasonable prices are noteworthy as well.

Hands down... This is the best optical specialty office I have ever been to in my life! The staff goes above and beyond for each patient. I have witnessed this a few times and I have only been Working with them for two visits. Highly recommend! Lots of Frame choices. Very affordable. They also have all the high-tech equipment for your comprehensive eye care needs!

This office has state of the art equipment. Dr. Askar is patient, knowledgeable and so are his assistants. So happy that we are able to be seen by them! Highly recommend!

I came to Central Higgins Optometrics for my first pair of glasses as a child, 22 years ago. Dr. Crompton built up an amazing practice and my family and I will always be grateful for his knowledge and care. Dr. Askar is amazing and is extremely talented. I have no doubt this practice will remain here for many years to come under his stewardship.

Dr. Askar is very knowledgeable and was very welcoming to my family and I on multiple appointments we scheduled with him. He finally gave me the plan treatment my eyes needed.

Had a great experience at the eye doc. Updated prescription, detailed exam, upfront cost in my glasses and contacts with my united healthcare insurance. I'll be returning!
