Chicago Eye Institute

My Mother did an eye surgery at the Chicago Eye Institute. The experience was awesome! Very respectful personal. Andrew Lewicky was her surgery doctor. The surgery was painless and very quick! Andrew Lewicky is the best!!!

I want to give this place zero stars, but it won't allow me to do so. Dr. Sanders is the rudest, most dismissive, most unkind, and the most unprofessional doctor that I have ever dealt with. She should have her licence revoked. She mentioned prescribing Restasis for my problem. I explained that I can't afford it because it was $700, and I can't afford to be paying 700 per month on drops. Her response was, "well, I don't know what to tell you..." I asked her what she meant by that and her response was, "you don't want to pay, so deal with your symptoms then... I don't know what to tell you. " I was also in full makeup because I had to go to work after the appointment. She put drops in my eyes and then proceeded to wipe my face carelessly and being rough. So I asked her to please let me do it so that my makeup doesn't get ruined. She then turns around and says, "she comes to and eye doctor and she's worried about eye makeup". She said this quietly, but I heard her. I said nothing. Then she examines my eyes and says something about irrigating my tear ducts. I asked her what that would entail. She responds with, "that means squirting a lot of water into your eyes, but since you're so worried about your eyes makeup, I guess we won't do that, huh". Since she had just examined my eyes, I asked her if my tear ducts looked blocked. She said that they did not look blocked. So my obvious response to that was, why do it if they don't looked blocked. She then turns her back towards me, closes my file, and says, "you know what... I'm done...find yourself another doctor!" I was shocked! She went on to say that she felt a tension and that I was projecting my frustrations with the office and the lack of follow up on to her. I explained that I wasn't projecting anything. I said that I was frustrated with my condition and the fact that you, the specialist is not giving me any answers. So then she says, "get out!" I said, "excuse me???" And she starts walking away from me and she says, you heard me...get out. I followed her out to the front of the office and begged her to write me a prescription for SOMETHING.... and she said, NO. I told her that she was the doctor and I'm a patient that needs help...how could you just dismiss me and let me walk away with no resolution. She then turned to someone and said, "call security...get her out of here!" I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I filed a complaint. If you want answers and want to be treated with kindnesses and respect.... stay away from this place. Go somewhere that has people that care. I'm still furious at how I was treated.

I was trying to log into my account for my case history at CEI and came across the last review and I do not agree to it, as it cannot be held valid, because I had been to the same place. Yes there can be some waiting time but we need to realize that it is a healthcare provider service where people like you and I with varying needs are served. 'Patience is a requirement for living'. I would personally encourage all to go to CEI. You will find professionals who may appear discrete but they can focus on service, only if they are indifferent towards formalities. Go and meet Dr. Lewicky, a wise, kind, listening, busy expert serving people like us and might not even find time to go through such reviews. Meet Patty, a gentle, tolerant, understanding and helpful lady at the front desk. If you stay away, you are missing out on something great.

Office staff is always friendly and welcoming. I been seeing Dr Tresley for almost 10 years and he's incredible. He literally saved my eyesight.

The worst place I have ever been to! Checked in at 11am. And waited until 4:30 and still didn't see the doctor. He spent the day in 1 room. I was talking to other patients and they all say the same thing he always take this long. STAY AWAY!!!!

They keep losing my referrals. Then Want me to pay $90 for The Visit and I don't do a damn thing for me except charge my insurance. This place has the smallest parking lot.
